What do you do about your friends ex who cheated on your friend?
For me it's a no brainer, I burn that bridge in the blink of an eye. Recently one of my friends found out he was being cheated on, I instantly unfriended the girl on facebook and took him out for a guys night to go flirt with girls at the bar. A few days later, she sent me a message on facebook asking me why I deleted her, and that we should hang out sometime. I messaged her back giving her the cold hard truth what I thought about her and that she's dead to me. To me, that's what friends should do.
Here's my experience with this question though... Throughout the years I've watched all of my friends get cheated on. Every time I would be there for them, burn the bridge with their ex, and wingman them into a new romance. When my turn came up and I was cheated on in my 3 year that I posted about a little while ago, my 7 best friends from high school all chose to invite her out instead of me. They hit her up to party. They took her out to dinner one on one and tried to hit it. I burned bridges with them faster than I burned bridges with my ex haha.
Recently another friend did the same thing. I've only known him for about two years, and in that two years we've probably only hung out about 30 times, but he had only seen my ex twice and she was with me both times. We went out and had a beer together and chatted, he asked me about her and I told him I had ended it and why. I even talked about how I had lost a lot of friends over it who went behind my back and he talked about how low it was. Next day... he messages her asking her out and got pretty graphic in what he was going to do to her. I know all this because she sent me the convo haha. So I sent him a text being like "best of luck with the b****, cyaa." And that's it for me.
He's flippin out though, texting my phone constantly calling me a whipped little b and saying he didn't do anything wrong. The crazy thing is... even a lot of my newer friends completely agree? You go behind my back and try and bone my ex who cheated on me? You didn't have my back, you went behind my back? You're gone. No drama, just get out of my life haha.
So what do you guys think? Am I lone soul on this or do you guys agree? Should friends have eachother's backs unconditionally?
