Make a resume, if you don't already have one. Go back and hit up some of the places you haven't applied at recently. I know some places only call/contact the applicants who apply recently.

Oh I don't know, this is tough. You gave us sooooooo much information to help you with. 19 years old, unemployed and unmotivated. You need to make sure the electricity and cable bills are paid so you can keep your brain active.

Just in case you are thinking about getting a job.....

Read the book instead of staring at your xbox all day, get a job so you have some cash to start a business, start your business. fail, try again, and continue until you reach success.

My guess is you won't/can't do it because if you "can't" find a job it just means your lazy, I bet you could get a job scrubbing the bathrooms for McDonals in 2 seconds, but you are holding yourself to some "higher standard". It's not easy, you will not be rich, retired, and driving a Mercedes in 6 months. From your post I think you are better off buying lottery tickets with every penny you have, because starting a business will be to hard for you, prove me wrong!

And forget this attitude of me, me, me, or you won't make any progress, help others and in turn that will help you, you can't get rich thinking about only you and what you want in life :)

Hey, you get it! Speed+ for having a much better work ethic than 16 year old me.

Could not have said it better myself. If all you do is sit on your a$$ all day, then you gotta get up and change that. No two ways around it, man.

A guy I knew from high school recently changed his life. He was a very smart kid (straight A's) and a pathological liar. He did drugs, got in trouble a lot, etc etc. He even got a close friend of mine into trouble with him. He had trouble getting a job, so he joined the Job Corps.

I don't talk to him but I am quite proud of him for taking those steps. Maybe the Job Corps or the military is the right path for you. They'll straighten you out real quick.

What did you do with the $500 a week you earned? Hot cars and motorcycles? What did you learn from your uncle's landscaping biz that could help you?

Dude, anything is better than sitting on your a$$ and feeling sorry for yourself. Even if you work at Taco F*cking Bell, you're at least getting money, getting out of the house, and getting experience.

If you saved anything from that $500/week for 2 years, then you should have enough money to start flipping. Search "Hustler's Guide" in the search bar. Ryan (RichKid) saved $50,000 this year. Not made, SAVED. In one year. He could get into real estate now if he wanted.

You can do the same. Just get off your a$$.

He's not a joke. He's a lazy kid in an extremely lucky position: he can afford to sit on his duff all day and play guitar or video games or whatever.

Key word: kid. I'm 19 too. We both have a lot to learn about life. Where were you at 19?

Well, it is hard to take this seriously. You are a 19 year old man and you decided to come to complete strangers to ask us what to do with your life. We're not sure whether to take you seriously or not.

It's hard for me to take this seriously too... but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

Take what you know already, and turn it into a business. Simple...will it be successful? Depends. Sounds like you haven't really done any research yourself.

If you don't have industry knowledge, then it might be a bit more difficult since you're not even willing to get a job.

At 19 I was working two jobs, over 100 hrs a week with driving back and forth, and the kicker, between 17-20 I worked every single day. Over 3 years straight. 7 days a week.

The solution is so simple. You want to open your own business, 1st learn how to sell. Go back to said uncle and tell him you will knock doors, deliver flyers, make calls, round up business for a split. Help him grow his business, so he can hire you back at your 500 a week, so you don't have to work for 30 bucks a day. If you can't sell lawn service, you aint going to make it as your own boss.

Make him so busy that not only does he need you he needs to hire a new crew. You lead the crew.. So now you have leadership experience and sales experience.

Now work until he makes you partner.

BTW: There are many, many, many millionaires that have made their money from owning Lawn care businesses.

There's the difference.

JoeySpagz, you're lucky. You have SO MUCH OPPORTUNITY it's F*ckin ridiculous. If you have more than an hour a day to sit around and do nothing, you have opportunity.

Oh, and you're uncle has a lawncare business? Even better. Jack's advice is excellent. You're working in it. There's gotta be some problems, some pain points, some really annoying things about the business, little things even.

If you don't want to work in the lawncare business, you can find something to sell to lawncare businesses across America. That'll make you a millionaire.

Read MJ's book.

Here's a good quote: “Entrepreneurship is living a few years of your life like most people won’t, so that you can spend the rest of your life like most people can’t.”

Again with the all the me, me, me, cut it out! Nobody here or anywhere is going to hand you this (wealth, success, easy money) on a silver platter. I will lay it out as best I can for you:

1) Cut the bullshit, stop feeling bad for yourself, change your mindset about life and REALLY want to make something of yourself

2) Read a.The Millionaire Fastlane and b. Read some other business books, this will give you some basic knowledge and inspiration on how to enter the business world

3.) If you have money saved up like you said, then instead of spending it on weed and video games, use it to generate wealth, hustle on ebay: https://www.thefastlaneforum.com/general-entrepreneurship-startup/35889-hustlers-guide-buying-selling-anything.html. Turn $5 into $10 and $10 into $20 until you can make a valid business

4.)I would still suggest working a real job as well so you can learn some maturity which will be invaluable to you in the coming years, your 19, start acting the part

5.) Create your business and work your a$$ of some more on it

(When you have made it here, tell us all about it!)

6.) Fail at it

7.) Repeat steps 3-5, learn form your mistakes, and try again until you succeed

8.) Achieve wealth

9.) Sit on your lazy a$$ and play xbox all day while you are passively generating cash, or drive your lambo around all day, or do whatever the hell you want to do, you've made it!

Jack Edwards advice was gold, you came here for advice from successful people, a guy who drives a Ferrari just told you exactly how you can begin your path to success, if you have anything more than a pea for a brain, I'd listen

Wait? You do nothing all day?

Maybe thats the problem.

Honestly though life is all about you getting up and facing the Dragon all by yourself. Not coming on to this forum and expecting someone to rub your belly, pat your bottom and burp you. And hold your hand like a little kid. Your a man, you should be able to formulate your own thinking and direction, only you know whats best for you. You can do it bro. Write down what you want in live and write your priorities down on a piece of paper.

1. Don't ever expect anybody to do shit for you, although its great if they do, but don't expect it. Everything in life is fought for and earned.

2. Don't ever feel sorry for yourself. Yeah life sucks sometimes but someone will always have it worse and no you are not that special.

3. Don't waste your time doing anything that is not conducive to your dream. Stop playing call of duty and file that LLC paperwork and make some cold calls. The winners in life are the ones who went out there and made it happen. Not the ones who lay around all day wondering what happened.

4. The universe doesn't give a nano-gram shit about you or your dreams.

If you live with your parents you have a BIG advantage because you have a full 16 hours to work on a Fastlane project. Don't waste your time bro cause once its gone its gone.

Do something tomorrow that is totally different than what you have been doing. Break the cycle. Join a gym. Walk into Burger King and ask if they are hiring. Go for a walk etc. The key to a productive Fastlane day is to be mentally and physically exhausted once you lay down in your bed to go to sleep.

My bet: he's gonna take the advice (more like instructions) that Jack gave him and do jack shit with it. They all do. They come to the forum for advice, they get more than they asked for (like, AN EXACT PLAN, a step-by-step F*cking manual on how to kick-start their entrepreneurial dreams, from people who have been there and done that) and then they leave, never to return, retreating back into their bubble of comfortability.

But it's OK. No harm done.

They are to used to always being told what to do, boss says sh!t, I sh!t, boss says sleep, I sleep, mom says go to school, I go to school, but it's great news because I always know I will be able to find employees if I ever need them :D, and maybe we can break some of them (like this one) out of the cycle if we are feeling nice
