For those of us who are arriving, (those of you who have arrived in the fastlane can share what you did), have you made a plan yet? How much detail is in your plan or how general is it? Are you working it?

Who have you sought advice from? Do they have what you want or can they offer insight as a customer? Be careful who you share it with, you need to see a benefit from their input or maybe you shouldn't ask them. You just might be threatening them and they just may try to keep you down. (Amazing how your potential success can threaten someone else)

If you haven't put your plan in writing, when will you?

I haven't put a plan in writing yet, but I have a general plan in my mind. I'm still 16, so I don't have to worry much about my timeframe; I'm still light years ahead of my peers. Most of my planning now is centered around learning. Right now, I'm just trying to build up the knowledge I believe will benefit me in the future.

However, the longterm plan could one of several different plans. My final goal is to have the majority of my wealth in real estate -- probably commercial or apartment buildings. The question is - how will I get there? I may go with real estate from the start. I may start up a business beforehand. Only time will tell.

I have several plans in writing, of course they are all part of one big master plan. I plan to work one at a time until I can get someone in there to take my place and still produce good money. Then it will be on to the next. I do plan on trying to get some real estate deals going while working on each of the other plans.

Can I encourage you to include some kind of "test plan" that you can implement into your learning now? I say that because of experience. When I was 15 I was quite the entrepreneur of babysitting. I had a deal worked out where I would run the nursery at the bowling alley on Saturday nights.

My parents were in a church bowling league and I was paid by my church to care for the kids of our church. Well, other churches were in the league too, which meant other kids needed a place to stay, so I took them in, and each parent paid me like I was watching their kids at home. I would make upwards to $70 in a 2-3 hour period. This was when minimum wage was $2.65! $70 represents 26 hours at minimum wage! Not bad for a 15 year old.

Well, long story short, when I turned 16 my mom told me it was time to get a job and "Jack" was hiring. It was the end of my free thinking days. Yes, you have the benefit of this forum and other things to help make sure you don't end up like the majority working a 40 hour week at a W2 job, but it's amazing how one decision can turn the tide and years later you find yourself wondering where the time went.

So I challenge you to practice now. Fail now. Keep learning and your experiences will add to your learning. Who knows, many teens are making millions now with their own businesses, maybe you could make some seed money for your real estate ventures.

Good luck, er, uh, may you be ready for the opportunity when it shows itself!

Here are the high points of my plan:

1. Develop website for…
2. Put systems in place for functionality
3. Write contract
4. Recruit for site
5. Brand site name
6. Create systems for franchising
7. Diversify into more cities locally
8. Franchise across US
9. Duplicate with another concept

I’ve brought the idea to many people in my church, not because they’re experts, but because they can give me the customer perspective. I have made many tweaks and changes based on “customer†input.

I am on step 3, I am waiting for my attorney to finish going over the contract then I can move to step 4. I even got good input from my attorney on the site outside of the contract details.

I plan to have one or more people do some “selling†for me, they’re good sales people, it is not a strength for me. So to date, that is what I am “In Process†doing.
