Hey Everyone,
My name is Chris, and until I read The Millionaire Fastlane , I thought I was on the road to wealth.
In 2004, I was working as an IT Programmer and Project Manager for a trade association when I received an invoice from one of our IT Consulting Firms. The invoice had a line item on it that said "$8,000 - Misc. Support", and this was for a project that was several months late and several thousands of dollars over budget -- they didn't even bother to spell out Miscellaneous!!
It was then that I had an "entrepreneurial seizure" and decided to go out and start my own IT Consulting firm. I would show the world that it was possible to deliver quality technology projects and services on-time and on-budget.
It's 7 years later, and I'm still in business, but I'm just as mediocre as all the other IT consulting firms out there, and I've built a business that depends completely on me and takes up way too much of my time in exchange for only decent earnings. I've basically "built a job" for myself instead of building a system that earns cash on its own.
After reading The Millionaire Fastlane, it's clear to me that this is NOT the road to wealth, and it's time to make some major changes, both to my business and the path that I'm on.
