Is a gym "fastlane" enough?
I own a gym in London with 2 partners that is growing slowly but steadily as a side business. I'm now at the point where I'm considering quitting my bank job to take it on and grow it full time. It's still small (1500/mo in profit), but showing steady signs of growth. In 18 months with a lot of dedicated effort, I believe we can grow it to 15-20k in profit, and 50-70k within 36 months.
I have 2 options.
1) walk away from it now, move back to California, and start something on my own (with no partners). Let the partners sort it out and either sell my share or take a small slice of whatever profits it generates in my absence?
2) work full time to grow it for 6-18 months before allowing the others to take over...goal being to generate a steady source of income for me in my absence
If this were your situation, which would you do?
Given all the people dynamics involved, is it worth even continuing with a gym?
