I've had almost the opposite experience.
I can't remember the last time I was single for an extended period - certainly not in the past 12 years. There was usually someone in my life, and that had its downsides too, I think. A lot of time and energy went into weird relationships that brought more drama than anything else.
That said, after nearly five years with my fiancée, I'd say nothing comes close to having a supportive partner who also understands your goals. She often says I'm my own worst critic, and honestly, there's a good chance I'd still be stuck where I was before we met without her support.
So yes, I think finding the right person is definitely worth the effort, but at the same time it's not something that should be rushed early on. I also never found a lack of money to be much of a problem either, as long as you don’t put yourself in some shithole where everyone is obsessed with money and status.
