Are you ambitious?
Do you work hard to improve your life and fitness and build up yourself as a person?
You are likely going to be in the season of “being really alone”.
No one from your school is like you.
Your family doesn’t think like you.
No one from your job thinks like you.
So you find an online community and there’s some other killers who you connect with, but they are thousands of miles away, so they are just internet friends.
You started your business, moved out, got a place by yourself, and here you are.
It’s lonely.
It’s not going to change anytime soon. Even if your business grows and you make more money.
You see, there’s only a handful of potential living situations.
1. You live at home with family. Lame. Saves money.
2. You live alone. Lonely.
3. You get a random roommate. Saves money. Still sucks.
4. You end up getting a girlfriend and she moves in with you. Easiest trap. Kills romance. Kills ambition. Kills testosterone. Creates dependancy.
5. Or….you move in with likeminded ambitious men and create brotherhood.
The last 7 years, I have been a moron.
I lived alone, and then if I was dating someone, she would usually move in with me.
I didn’t have much brotherhood because I didn’t have anything in common with most people in my area, and I would only see likeminded people through rare business meetups 1-2 times a year.
So I sunk so much time and energy into relationships which ended up making things worse since I didn’t have much going on socially outside of them.
You can have everything going for you, a business, a great lifestyle, a great body, freedom, money, etc.
But a bad living situation setup will derail so much of your life.
If you are a business owner, you will not have an organic social life anymore. It must be intentional.
The problem is that no matter what hobbies or interests you do to meet people, it will be like taking vitamins instead of eating whole food. The bulk of the time you will be alone at home in your house or working alone, or communicating with employees or customers.
What’s your living situation? Alone? Family? Roommate? Girlfriend?
I think the best way to live would be with likeminded, ambitious people who are going in the same direction you are.
That way you can build brotherhood, make memories, be sharpening each other like iron, training, and keeping a high level of energy instead of rotting inside by yourself and having to fend off against time wasting and pleasure seeking that ends up consuming so many of us.
I’m moving soon. I’m planning on changing things up by doing this. I think living alone was a huge mistake.
