I think this whole discussion on health care is too complex to discuss if people discussing it come from different countries with different laws, regulations and prices for health care.
When it comes about the details we all can probably mostly speak for how it is where we live.
At the most basic, health insurance, like other insurances, is a way to mitigate risks. That risk being your and your families health, with the addition of possible financial risks due to medical costs, makes it something I‘m sure most people are happy to have.
This doesn‘t exclude health care systems from critic, there are oftentimes changes required, but discussing those is another topic and one that would likely have to stray into political terrain.
But something that helps me and my family stay or get healthy, and mitigate the risk of financial disasters is a good thing to me. And one that I gladly pay for.
