Hi all! I have recently been reading through the The Millionaire Fast lane book and decided to join the forum! I have been taking steps towards beginning a laser engraving side business, while although not incredibly feasible as a fast lane I am hoping to gain a lot of experience and have some great ideas (not wooden engraved coasters don't worry . My senior year will be starting soon at San Diego State University and I am currently working a sales summer internship for an onsite security guard company called Signal. Through this internship I have been gaining a lot of hard skills with B2B sales. After the internship I will have enough savings to come out of college debt free and will have the full school year to pursue the fast lane.

I have already registered as a LLC and will receive the confirmed registration in about 3 weeks. I am currently fully committed to the internship M-F 9-5 but it pays well and ends in 4 weeks. I will then fully pursue business ownership and the fast lane. I have already created social media accounts and have the same handle for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, etc (Ace Engravings) and will begin work on setting them up over the coming weeks. I have also began studying html coding so as to assist myself in web design skills for my business, although am currently struggling and wondering if anyone has recommendations for good web design courses to assist me in the process. If anyone has any other tips or whatnot please let me know!

I am excited to learn from you all and will gladly take any advice you have

-Zane Staples

Yes I know about the annual cost with LLC, I am confident in my business model I have come up with utilizing the laser engraver to make specialized products for varying organizations which is why I decided to LLC. Although I finally made the leap I have been researching and studying business/LLC related topics as a passion for many months now so I am feeling prepared and excited for the long windy road ahead

It's easy to start small with these, and also easy to contact small business owners who might be interested.

One thing I see a lot of laser engraving related businesses on Etsy or wherever doing is just posting general things ie custom coaster tell us what you want and we will make it. My approach is more so mass emailing campaigns of specificed products. Ie frats and sororities reaching out and offering them customized water bottles with their frat logo and name of member. The more B2B approach of using the engraver to create a product and eventually potentially create a branding from there. I have been purchasing sample products off of Alli Express and Alibaba if there are any manufacturing sites you recommend for products I am all ears!

Thanks!
