Hi to all. Just two weeks ago near my house has opened a casino!
I know it's going to draw the attention of a lot of people. All these people with their money are about to come near my house. How can i seize the opportunity?
What service would you offer?
Thanks for your attention! :)

A bar? gamblers anonymous chapter? Just kidding. It is actually tough for businesses around casinos because they do all they can do to keep people from leaving the property. Cheap/free buffets, bars, shops and hotels with plenty of parking. Dont know what kind of funds you have but something centered around family activities would be my suggestion. Possibly an indoor water park. The idea is that dad goes and gambles while mom takes the kids to the pool or vice versa. Or that after all the money is lost there is still something to do.

IMO, generally speaking, casinos don't bring money, they bring poverty. Inside the casino there is "money" outside the casino is the reality. I'd think along the lines of pawn shops, discount cig store, bail bonds place, cheap souveniers, etc.

...Granted, it depends on what the draw to the casino is. Are you in a tourist area? Is the casino a "dry" casino? Will the casino offer something unique like horse racing? Where are patrons coming from? ...Are they coming from out-of-state? ...More info about the casino and the potential patrons would be helpful.

Also, you mentioned near your house... are you looking at doing something on your front lawn. You have to be zoned commercial/residential. yveskleinsky is right.. Pawn shops do really well that and Money for Cash locations.. which I have issues with the ones charging over 400% interest. People complain about credit cards at 20%, could you imagine at 430%? Crazy. I have an image of a flyer from a shop trying to explain how their 200% is low compared to others! What a deal! LOL

Are you in a full gambling city or is this an Indian Casino?

Hi, thanks for the inputs. The casino has just opened in place of a betting shop. I think it wants to bring people from the south of the country. I still don't know what kind of licence it has and how big can it be. I have to research more. It's not an indian casino, i'm in Italy and here there are only 4 casinos in the north of the country. In fact i'm really surprised it opened so quickly. If it works there is a whole business to develop around like new hotels and resturants.

Maybe you should open up a store full of casino merchandise.
Like cards, poker sets,....

Personally, i would definitely buy a poker set after i visit a casino.

OH... Italy!!! Only 4 casinos! Now your onto something! I hate to say it.. but yveskleinsky and Moneymaka are right on about the business that surround casinos in places like Vegas and Reno, Nevada. Pawn shops are a dime a dozen and in downtown Reno and around the Casino Strip in Vegas there are many tourist shops selling used Casino cards, dice, etc... cheap t-shirts etc. Bars.. more bars.. night clubs. Also, find out what need the casino may not be fulfilling for it’s customer’s .. since there are only 4 casinos I’m thinking they may not be as sophisticated like Vegas casinos are. They have it mastered to keep people in for DAYS if tempted. The idea is to keep them on the property. BUT, maybe that casino near you is missing something.. like entertainment other than gambling… or do they close their restaurants? I hope not… it should be 24 hours. Is it a hotel as well? Another idea… laundrymat…. You would be amazed at how much money casinos make off of the locals. In Nevada our Governor had a surplus of funds and returned all Nevadans a check from $80 - $250 and the day the checks arrived in the door.. was the biggest gambling earning day in the history of Nevada!!! People need to do their laundry and walk to the casino while they wait! Better yet.. can you put a slot machine in or a video poker? … They are everywhere here.. in the grocery store.. gas stations… etc.

BTW - I bought some really cool dice that are made of different colors downtown Reno and when the family plays the board game Risk.. we all have our own colors! Mine is of course, purple! :)

Hmmmmm...... I'd hire Dr. Kevorkian and setup a service for folks who are afraid to go home and explain that they lost the house
