Just a heads-up, we should be creating a new thread soon with the new details on the meetup.

We've started sending out the presentation notices yesterday and will continue doing so, so we're now taking advanced tickets sales for those speaking.

The dates had to move up one week. It was either move the dates up, or not have the event at all and do the Chicago Cubs dance... wait til next year... lol.

Only the Presenter's themselves qualify for the discounted ticket at this time. Maybe in the future we'll be able to extend the "family" discount, but not this time around. Thanks for asking!

If you aren't a presenter they're not available for purchase yet. I believe the event is the first weekend of March.

Hey all-

Tickets for the attendees have not been released yet, the event dates will be March 6,7 & 8th (Friday - Sunday) with Sunday being a half day (ending at noon). Thanks!

After speakers are confirmed, there will only be 35 tickets or so available. First come, first served. So it's recommended for anyone interested in going to keep tabs on the updates as they come. Sales will probably start next week.

Will we need to have a car to get around this year? I can't easily rent a car (age) so I'm trying to decide if I should drive there or not, assuming I get a ticket. Would save money driving, but a 21 hour long drive in a day doesn't sound like fun to me.

All of the scheduled events/nightlife is within walking distance from the convention room/hotel. No car needed -you can grab a cab from the airport. (there is a fee to park cars at the hotel overnight, just fyi)

I wonder if there's another big event happening at the same time. I'll look at some other hotels or I may just have to try to flip some stuff before then to make it affordable.

No rooms available there during these dates.

EDIT: If I get a ticket, I'll make it. Just trying to find the cheapest way to do so, because we don't have any money laying around. I'll figure it out.

Not a gril btw so possibly not the right room mate for you, but at those prices, I think I'd prefer to split something with someone else as well (edit-wow, I'm a moron. Price isn't as bad as I thought, still wouldn't mind a roomate especially since they're suites, PM me if anyone's interested). I was concerned that this would overlap with my trip to India, but I've got time to spare afterwards.
