Put some more thought to my topic. Something that has helped me grow a LOT in the past few months.

How NLP Rewired My Brain, allowed me to quit my job, have rapid progress on my business, and change every aspect of my life for the better.

Change is instant. If I can do it, you can do it too.

I took a beginner-level NLP training course In May 2014. Before then, I was often on my computer daydreaming about a successful business, sleeping most of the time after being tired from a job that I didn’t like, full of limiting beliefs and excuses, pushing away friends, lacked the confidence when talking to others, and was unhappy with life in general, I pushed away anyone who didn’t support my beliefs.

Oh, and this point, I had a full time passive income for a few months.

I thought making money changes everything.

It didn’t.

I feel like I’m nowhere near an expert at this stuff, but in less than four months, and mostly in the last two months, I was able to:

· Lose any fear about quitting my job.

· I wrote a 200-page book and got 500 readers in one week…with raving reviews.

· I went from an idea to my first sale in less than 7 days’ work.

· Overcame 80% of social my anxiety.

· Stopped procrastinating, and taking constant action NOW.

· I found the secret to getting mentored by anybody, regardless of how much more money they make than me.

· And I failed a lot, but I redefined failure so even when I fail…I experience success.

Everything that was ever wrong in my life was a limiting belief in my mind.

Once I started this process, it has been an upward spiral of success where I can fix limiting beliefs almost immediately.

I can share my process with you.

If there is an Amazon panel I might be able to add some value to it.

I started my business (selling only on Amazon) a month after last year's B&P, first sale 4/23, it became my only source of income in May, now I'm on pace to do comfortable 6 digits a year in sales.

Hi Mj and Fastlaners
I can’t believe I have missed this .
@ ESKIL thank you for letting me know as it wasn’t on my radar I came last year from Abu Dhabi and enjoyed meeting you all and the fantastic take outs.

I would love to attend.

For those of you that don’t know I work in Film , theatre and TV and Large scale events with over 15+ years of face to face to face communication coaching. My work is always centered on communication and conveying a message particularly how to maximize this in face to face communication….

Getting a deep understanding of yourself and your communication style ( verbal, vocal, visual ) and familiarity with your habits the way you communicate as well as a becoming more flexible in your communication style when interacting with others...
@Red ..i will post this on this thread as well PM you this.

My pitch for a slot in 2015:

RAPPORT MASTERCLASS

I would like to build on my presentation of last year if I am allowed looking at fundamentals of Rapport in face to face communication ( B=P attendees last year .. if I added value for you please chime in and help me get a slot!)

These tools are essential communication tools and can be applied to sales , influence relationships, life , meetings, first encounters with a client or customer , pitching etc.

RAPPORT

What is it ?

What does it look like?

How do you know you have rapport?

How do you actually influence and build to have rapport. ( These skills are life skills and can be applied in your work and or relationships )

Why is rapport important? What role does it play in influencing others?

Having extensively coached in many facets of Face to face communication as well as having years of experience in the entertainment industry ....
The work i will propose is participatory , you will be up on your feet again , probably for some out of your comfort zone ,trying things out and what I find is that this is a really good ice breaker for all . We will go deeper down the rabbit hole……..

From what I garnered from last year the master class will lead into :

BREAK DOWN :

Whole group interaction :

Rapport :

Awareness of :
First Impressions : How do we form an impression about someone when we first meet them?

Building a Positive First impression ..How do we do this

Looking at your message ( a refresher from what I discussed from 2013)

Verbal : How do the words you are using impact your message?

Tonality: How does the sound of your voice impact your message?

Nonverbal messaging : What is body language? What are your default stances? What messages are you conveying?

These tools can be applied to any filed, sales , influence relationships, life , meetings, first encounters with a client or customer,

Then the work will culminate into 2 intensive sessions to answer this question related to Rapport:

What happens when we interact with someone who is not aligned with our preference in communication styles??

“ FIRST IMPRESSIONS”

I will pick 1 or 2 participants (at least one depending on time) who want to delve further and share the work with the whole group observing

I will look at their communication preference and offer coaching in role play / model ask one or two participants to engage and build rapport with me , .

I will pick a simple scenario : e.g. client meeting

My communication style / preference will be diametrically opposed to theirs. So they will have a stretch….but we will only focus on the first minute of the interaction …..As that is here first the impressions are built.

I will give feedback and also ask the group observing what they saw.

Coaching tips will be given and we will run it again to see if the first impression has improved.
DEBRIEF:

I will debrief the session and answer any questions that arise.

My methodology is to try things as this is the best way I learn and my coaching is geared this,

The greatest learning is in the “doing “ or application of what is discussed especially with rapport.

Added Bonus: DAILY GROUP WARM UP/ENERGIZER

This is not a touchy feely session …focus is very specific..

From my observations of last year I felt that people seemed to warm up into their presentations..

Having something rehearsed and then presenting it ,often causes a mismatch , we have to deal with adrenaline that kicks in …

What I can also volunteer to do is to run a WHOLE GROUP a 9 minute “energizer” on each of the presentation days first thing in the morning .

DAY 1 PRESENTATIONS : I will run a 9 minute whole group warm up session : intention is to get you vocally and physically ready to present , break the ice also by engaging with each other.

DAY 2 Presentations : Have a refresher and also run an energizer to get the whole group focused and physically and vocally ready for the day .

Thanks ,

I won't be missing out on this one...This year's meetup was too awesome. We formally lunched in May of this year and I've learned more about business in the past 4 months than my whole life. Our production is maxed out, we're selling everything and already planning a major expansion. I haven't been spending much time on the forum lately but I will post an update later this evening.

I'd be up for speaking if there's a gap that needs filling. I could speak about sales and CRM, leadership and motivation, or product development. I could also speak about raising money and a number of other things.

I'd like to possibly give a presentation on paid advertising within Facebook.

I am giving a presentation on Oct 16th for a digital media summit being held at a local university covering this topic. I'd like to present this topic for the Fastlane Meetup as well.

Its covering tips and tricks I learned from high volume spend and competitive vertical Facebook ads & strategy.

Background:
  • 18+ years in the digital space with 14 of those years focused in digital marketing ( was a web programmer and web designer before I was a marketer ).

  • Currently consulting for colleges and universities in one of the most competitive PPC industries around, online lead gen for higher education.

  • Dominated several of the most competitive verticals online such as:
Weight Loss ( Facebook PPC, Adwords, SEO on Google & Yahoo )
Payday Loans/Debt ( SEO on Google and also within both the USA and UK )
Make Money Online ( Facebook PPC )
Dating ( Facebook PPC & Bulk email marketing )
    Adult ( SEO/Mobile/PPC alternative networks)
Education ( Facebook PPC, Facebook Organic, Adwords, Bing AdCetner, PPV, email, SEO on Google & Yahoo & Bing )

  • Managing paid advertising budgets of $3MM+ per client, per year.

  • Personally generated over $1MM Net Profit from Facebook ads in just 5 months from a personal investment of $1300.

  • Contributed to over $1B ( yes, Billion ) in revenue for the affiliate marketing industry with my landing pages and marketing strategies.

  • Heavy experience in eCommerce from helping build, and manage, 4 different eCommerce business and managing their online marketing ( SEO, PPC, CSEs, Amazon, Social, email ).

Also running a growing SaaS business ( digital marketing niche ) too, so can speak on that topic as well. Would rather keep it Facebook PPC based.

IF ANYONE IS GOING FROM KENTUCKY ( or Louisville transfer ) please let me know, would like to catch same flight and chat.

@Red Thank you for the personal invite to submit a topic! :)

Here Are The Topics Of Choice:

1) How Almost Going Bankrupt 3 times Gave Me The Path To Success

  • Exposed: Secrets Of The Infamous "Project Scottsdale" (what really happened when I left Canada to live with 3 other Fastlaners)
      • How sacrifices brought us closer together
      • How differences forced us to mature exponentially
      • What the daily 16 hour grind felt like REALLY (behind the excitement - the ultimate test to see if you are an entrepreneur)
      • The difficulties of weekly meetups and maintaining a high quality mastermind group (especially when some of the members businesses explode while others fail)

  • How My First Two Business Failures Made My Third Failure The Best! (The Rise And Fall Of The Highly Talked About "Guppy Tank")
      • How Lack of control killed my first business (the hard lesson learned from losing all my income 2 days before my birthday)
      • Why non-existent market demand killed my second business (how to fail fast and find out if there is a big enough need to fastlane your business)
      • Why I left a promising business venture (which I had just launched) to join the "Guppy Tank" spearheaded by zen******* on the forum

  • Give me 7 Months In The "Guppy Tank" And I'll Show You How Never To Choose Partners! (What it really takes to learn how to buy paid traffic and become excellent at media buying - while having terrible partners)
      • Why I left a company doing mid-four figures a day in revenue
      • How 9 Captains will never be able to steer 1 ship (partnership messes, contract negotiations, equity arguments, accounting messes, multiple LLC's, the hassle of hiring and firing employees etc.)
      • What to look for as warning signs when getting into any partnership or business venture (having tried 3 different deals with 15+ partners over my life)
A lot of people are always interested in the above topics of interest. To make this shorter, I am going to just list other points of discussion:

  • All the shit I ate to even get into the positions I wanted to be in (And How I overcame it all)
      • Sweet talking my way into the USA, over-staying and then trying again, only to be almost arrested at the border (Paying lawyers lots of $$ and ironically never using them)
      • Funding my ventures after almost going bankrupt the first two times
      • Constantly moving, traveling, investing, making deals, thinking outside the box etc.
  • How I went from SEO - Product Launches - Amazon - Paid Traffic and then back to Amazon (and how to apply all those skills that I learned into 1 business)
  • Would I do it all over again? and what are the main takeaways from all my failures

2) Are You Prepared To Learn How You Can Launch A Product In 7 Days? (And Get Your First Sale?)

  • I will show you how I got a product into the marketplace within 7 days, including
      • showing you my actual product (I will bring samples)
      • how I got the logo made
      • how and where to get product labels made (and 3d image rendering)
      • where to find a manufacturer that will allow you a small order of inventory (so you don't burn a lot of cash)
      • where to get bar-codes
      • how to get the cheapest fulfillment
      • why I hired and fired 7 codes and 4 designers (over 3 days) - AND how I motivated one of my designers to work for 40 hours straight
      • how to get a kick-a$$ landing page created (For under $150)
      • what it takes to get merchant processing setup and coded for you landing page (and how this custom job was done within 5 days)
      • how to write sales copy for your product (for both your landing page and listing such as amazon)
      • (if on amazon) - how to optimize your page
      • Multiple tactics you can apply to setup a kick-a$$ marketing strategy (be it SEO, News outlets, Paid-Traffic etc)
      • Sneaky promotional tips and closely guarded methods of extremely effective marketing tactics
3) Who Else Wants $25,000 in 12 days? (My exact process to running a successful product launch)

  • I will go over step-by-step everything I did to generate $25,000 in revenue on my product launch
      • what are the core steps needed for a successful product launch
      • how I came up with my product
      • the software and marketplaces used to support the launch
      • what I put in as up-sells (and how you can put in up-sell's that aren't your products)
      • how to properly setup up-sells and down-sells (I had and up-sell on my whole sales funnel)
      • how to write and create sales-copy for your affiliates & for your customers (in reality you do 2 product launches)
      • how to design your landing pages (for affiliates and for customers)
      • how to get 150+ affiliates on board promoting your product (and how I contacted 100 potential affiliates in one day)
      • why taking a $5000 up-front risk is worth it when you go "all-in"
      • everything needed the day during your launch (support, things that go wrong, things I wish I had done etc)
      • how to handle support tickets, refunds and complaints
      • what builds loyal followers and loyal affiliates
      • how to position yourself as an authority in your niche

Alright, there is a lot there and I would be more then happy to present on any of the topics. So let me know which one of the above gets your vote ;)

There is a great amount of value from a lot of people here, can't wait to see you guys in 2015 :)

P.S. I vote for @LightHouse to not be allowed to attend this years event.

If anybody is interested in listening, I will talk about how one can get over a lot of internal obstacles in a short period of time: Similar to the stuff I talk about here: https://www.thefastlaneforum.com/co...ed-in-not-seeing-any-success-heres-why.54295/

Redefining failure so you are always successful.
You accomplish tasks in the amount of time you give yourself to do them.

OR.. How to use stories to rewire brains and change people's lives

I would be up for a talk on navigating the ever changing income property investment landscape. I have done a lot of deals this year. I have also had to make many directional changes over the past few years. It is challenging to stay revved up for the fastlane in this constant lane changing environment.

Awesome! The chances are that I would like to present. Even though I stink at speaking in front of crowds, I need to do it and get better at it. Plus, I've learned so much in the past year under the guidance of Lori and Dan Greiner and everyone else who has helped me over the past year, and I feel I need to pass this along.

Sorry I'm so late on this and I apologize if for not yet being able to read through this thread as well. I haven't been on the forum at all because I am swamped with paperwork from all the major retailers and have been a little overwhelmed lately. I hope that II can get back to being a contributor again on this forum soon.

Man... your presentation last time was awesome, @Arrabista ! We need you to come back.. ;) Would be so cool to have you be one of the first presenters as an initial 'ice breaker'. Instantly sets the mood for the days to come.

For those who missed out - on paper it may seem like this guy's presentation isn't all that "relevant to business" - but I beg to differ. The skills he teaches are priceless when you're doing negotiations, meeting with vendors, pitching to investors/companies, meeting with new business partners, and much more. Good vs poor communication skills and rapport (or lack thereof) can make or break your deals.

Highly relevant for the Fastlane, IMO.

At a minimum, I will be there talking shit, playing blackjack, and listening to presentations. I 100% am in for the meet up, and am thinking about what I might present on if selected to do so. I am not into golf, so you will find me parked at the blackjack tables during the down times.

We have been discussing escaping to Tucson (from Minnesota) for the month of February, but I will likely want a break from playing canasta with all of the blue haired old ladies there anyway. Red, if you have any INSIDERS lines on a rental house for the month of February in Scottsdale, keep me in mind. We might be up for a short term stay in Scottsdale (30 days +/-).

If @ChickenHawk will present, that alone will be worth the cost of the flight + the hotel + the conference ticket. You've been promising us an INSIDERS call or a B&P spot for months. Years. Time for you to step up to the plate, kid.

Awwww...I don't know what delights me more -- your confidence in my presentation abilities or the fact you called me kid. Thanks so much for that! I was looking at this event longingly, but I'm almost certainly going to have to pass, along with the INSIDERS Call option, for about six to nine months at least. We decided to build a house, and it's proving all-consuming financially and time-wise.

But you know what was awesome beyond belief? To buy a six-figure bluff lot with cash, thanks to self-pubbing.

Happily (or unhappily, hah!) I'm still making plenty of mistakes in the self-pubbing biz, which I think will offer some good lessons-learned when I get around to presenting. So hopefully, the longer I wait, the better it will get. :)

I'm not sure if the slides are just a brief outline of the presentation, or very detailed, but either way, I see significant value in that.

While I can appreciate your desire to learn, the way I see it is that this information is not mine to sell. One of the things that makes this meetup great is the fact that it's like-minded (but still varied) individuals coming together for the sharing of information & support of camaraderie. Some of the folks that submitted to present this year DO sell their information on different platforms. Many have already put their hard-learned lessons in threads on this forum. If there's really a niche you're interested in, I would start with a topic search on here, today (top, right hand corner of this page).

One of the things that makes this place work is the unabashed desire to, not only better oneself but, also help out others coming up along the way. I think there's way more information on this forum than you know.

I WANT TO SPEAK IN THE MEETING TOO!!

HOW I went from social anxiety to with a FOOL & SIMPLE idea become a co-founder of a forex fund of 40M.

I was a super shy guy. With a HUGE shame. Extremely worried about what people could think. I had very little friends and zero women in my life. My life used to suck a TON!!

Deep in my-self I knew this is not what I was made for. I read ALL the self-help books you can imagine about all the topics. I tried all the techniques to change you can know. From affirmation to hypnosis.

Some were good because it forces you to be FULL responsible for your life. But like a self-help book it doesn’t change your character or heal your mind. The only thing I did NOT try was drugs.

I ALWAYS kept looking for more ways to change, and I spent hundreds of dollars, most of them useless and I have also been scammed a LOT. UNTIL finally I found the ONE thing that changed everything!

It is not one thing that you do once in your life and you are healed.
And it is not an easy thing to do. It’s a thing you should do at least once a day for 1-2 months. The more you keep doing it the better for you.

I am talking about approaching women on the street, something called daygame.

The fear of approaching women is a core fear based of thinking what people will think of you. We are not afraid of women. We know they are not going to hurt us physically. The only thing they can do is rejecting us. They just say “NO”. And this why almost everyone get drunk on nightclubs, because we cannot handle a NO.

Fear of rejection is stopping us in a subtle or direct way from our goals.

And the true is that rejection is your friend. Rejection is going to make you stronger.

The more rejected you are the BETTER! Every single rejection makes you stronger, we have an identity that is based on external opinions and validations of other people. Every time you get rejected it slowly separates you from the outside validations of who you are and you put your value as a man from within yourself.

Fears are the boundaries of who we are. If you want to become a bigger person a more successful person you need to push those boundaries out. And the only way to get rid of the fear of rejection is to be rejected, to take action in front your fears.

Daygame is an intensive and life-changing rejection course!

When you overcome the fear of women you are free! You have SOCIAL FREEDOM. You can talk to anyone everywhere. Your networking skills are going to explode!!! You are never going to have again a problem picking up the phone. And pushing to find investors, clients and suppliers is just a fun thing!! You achieve a point where you don’t give a DAMN about anything, where you start truly liberating yourself and it's an amazing experience that you have to experience to understand.

I was looking for forex trading systems on internet until I found one and two other great stock market products that give high returns. Then I just went to talk with a TON of investors and funds (looking like a 20 years old boy wanting to invest in stock market is not an easy thing) until I found the right ones.

Stupid and simple, just needed courage to take action (which I didn’t need it because I was not afraid. Courage is acting in front of the fear and daygame made me lose this fear).

You need a system to do daygame. You are going to learn how to feel the fear and take action anyway! You are not going to take rejection personally anymore. Those are a few things I can talk about.

I think EVERY MAN on earth should go through this process because you get rid of FEAR, SHAME & GUILT. I taught this to other guys and they had the same results as me! 1+1=2 If you do it you will have the results, there is not anything magical here!

I know maybe some people who are going to attend the meeting don’t have that problems that I can talk about and most of the guys have relationship so maybe they cannot take action in what I can talk.

So in case my topics was not approved I’d like to say that one of my dreams is to become a professional motivational speaker -my teacher says I’m the best alumni he has and almost everyone who went to my speeches loved them :) - I’d like the change to speak in public to grow and improve even if it is for 10-15 minutes. Sounds good @AllenCrawley @MJ DeMarco? :)

I prefer to post it here before to submit to see any opinions and and make it easier to decide if it’s a good topic.

Damn,

I'd really love to join this event, but it looks like I wont be able to...

My kickstarter got funded and Ill be busy at the manufacturers doing qc, and figuring out to how send things out.

To all new comers, there is no way I would've launched this successful Kickstarter without going to last years meet up.

It is a life changing event, the transition from an aspiring wantreprenuer to an action taking entrepreneur. Go if you can!!

Just a heads-up, we should be creating a new thread soon with the new details on the meetup.

We've started sending out the presentation notices yesterday and will continue doing so, so we're now taking advanced tickets sales for those speaking.

The dates had to move up one week. It was either move the dates up, or not have the event at all and do the Chicago Cubs dance... wait til next year... lol.

Thanks @Red for organizing this. The venue looks great.
Last year I flew 5,000 miles to the C&B and met awesome people, and I will make sure to attend this one.

I'm bootstrapping a SaaS app that I'm selling in the US (together with a partner)... so maybe I could talk about a couple of hacks we did to leverage a big player in the industry, contact their current customers and integrate with their exising platform totally under the radar (API integration could cost us thousands of dollars)... I'm a self-taught programmer/designer so I could talk about creating a functional web app with minimum resources... is this something someone could be interested in?

Im in. I can speak.

I would likely speak in the asset protection area. I can certainly do a 45m topic here.

I could also speak about taking your online business offshore.

I can give a cocktail presentation about the benefits of inverse hair ties.

Is it really only open to 50 people?

If there is demand, we might be able to swing 100. However after seeing these events go off for the last 7 years, you typically have 1,000 people say "I'm IN!" or "I'm there!" and when it comes down to buying tickets, airfare, hotels, etc, only 50 people go. Saying "I'm in!" is an event. Buying the ticket, preparing, etc, -- that's the process. ;)

I'm fairly new to the forum (but not the industry), so I have a couple ideas for speaking but wanted to gauge interest. My main idea would be:

How to dominate with recurring membership sites
  • How to select a niche and set up the site
  • Pricing strategies, conversion funnels, and upsells
  • Utilizing social media to create a cult like following
  • How to get content written for your site in any niche
  • Utilizing paid traffic to grow your site, and what metrics are important (most people don't focus on the right ones)
I can expand on this if there's interest. I've done a lot with membership sites over the last 5 years. When I say 'membership site', it includes things like paid newsletters. So, I would cover different membership models.

Some of my qualifications:

- I own one of the largest paid/private affiliate marketing forums.
- I have 3 membership sites that earn a substantial amount of recurring income each month, and a handful of others that earn a modest amount. Most of these run with very little involvement from me personally.
- I've done consulting work for traffic sources, and a variety of companies.

Again, not sure if this fits with the Fastlane Meetup but I thought I would throw it out there :)
