I've figured out how to pay for tickets and everything. Got it all set aside in the budget already. This is not something I want to miss.

I'll have my finger on the trigger as soon as those tickets go on sale. I remember how fast they sold out last year.

And if I don't get a ticket.... I will practice my ninja and stealth skills the next couple months so that I can sneak in. ;)

Just sent in a sample of the Power Point I am going to use at the presentation if picked. Since I am using it for another presentation at a local university, it should be well polished come Feb.

It's one I have been working on and still fleshing out, so hopefully Red and MJ like it enough to let me present to the Meetup too.

I would love to come down during February from the Minnesota winter. I have received some favorable reviews on the forums from my experience in the corporate world as a supply chain director for companies as big as $77 Billion. I can provide some ideas on how to source products, negotiate discounts on the products, and incentivize suppliers to provide good quality and deliver on time.

Or I can just sit back and absorb all the great information provided by speakers much better than me (along with absorbing some great sunshine). Either way, I can't wait.

I'm not sure what the organizers for this coming meetup will decide but I will say that some (if not most) presenters may not want their presentations broadcasted or recorded because of the sensitive content in their presentations. In meetups past we've recorded presentations but presenters had the option to not be recorded. Any recordings were only made available to those that attended live.

Like Allen said, recordings are usually made of the presenters who are ok with it. But they're only made available to those who attended, and I think it's best that way. Once you make streams or recordings freely available from something like this, it kinda loses some of its value for those that pay to attend (although the networking is still priceless) - so there will be just too many people who figure they can skip attending.

Mapquest estimate drive from Orange County CA to Scottsdale AZ is ~377miles or 6 hours. I have no problem going faster!

With so many amazing people on here, full of so much knowledge and experience - it's gonna be hard to top the level of some of these.
What would you guys like to see me do a presentation on?
  1. Sales: Why your conversion rate sucks and what you can do to change it
  2. Product development: Taking an idea from garage prototype - to mass market production
  3. Product development: Taking a (healthy, not shady) slice of the massive supplements market pie
  4. Marketing / PR: What I did to raise $123,000 on Kickstarter
  5. Ecommerce: What affiliates want, how they can really increase your earnings, and why you should care
Other things I could talk about are Amazon / FBA stuff, getting the most out of paid traffic (Adwords, Facebook, media buys), or - what you should know to increase your sales with professional looking label and packaging design (and no you don't have to become an artist/designer - just understand what you should be telling your designer to do / not to do from a business perspective).
