Hello Fastlane,
I would rather not disclose my name so you may call me Mizfit.
I am 21 and come from a small town but most of us do right. I'm really on the artistic side and love to draw, paint and sew. If you see it, I can draw it. It brings in money sometimes. But it's mostly a hobby. I have worked the 9-5 and in some cases I liked it but in others....lets just say I'd rather eat dirt for a living. I want to make money and be happy doing it. I know that will take work and lots of dedication on my part but I'm more than willing to get my hands dirty.
In my town it's hard to get a business off the ground, basically you are committing mental and financial suicide. The only successful businesses here are the ones from a Famous chain like WalMart,McDonald's,Wendy's and Atwoods. Sure we have Salons and Dollar Stores but that's about it. I want to start a business with what I already have available and work up from there. I don't have much except for my artistic skill and a lot of material. They say it takes money to make money. Well.... I have no money. Lol But it will not stop me from trying to make something out of nothing!
I have a few ideas on getting started but I'm still confused and have that helpless feeling despite all of the research I am doing. I have looked into Kickstarter,Indegogo and Fundly. Seriously thinking about using them to get the basics and materials I need to get started but I don't know if I should. I already have my own logo drawn out and a Brand name idea. Also I have at least 3 VERY good invention ideas but I don't have the know how or contacts to make them come to life. Needles to say I want to change that. Very very VERY badly.
I normally look to my dear husband for help but NO MORE!
I want to be independent!
So if you have any suggestions or tips that you think would steer me in the right direction I would appreciate them. Thanks for taking the time to read!
