They are rushing a COVID19 vaccine...making a rapid distribution plan...not clear if it will be mandatory or not.

If you've ever read about the terrible birth-defects caused by the "wonder drug" Thalidomide during the 1950s, you might be more than skeptical about any new drugs safety. It rarely caused birth-defects, so they didn't show up until it was rolled out world-wide. Now there are thousands of people with flippers for arms, and they are the lucky ones.

I'm willing to wear a mask indefinitely, or at least until it has been tested for a few years.

I doubt it’ll be mandatory, when has a vaccine ever been mandatory (curious)?

Trials seem to be promising so far, if even a fraction of the population took it, it could slow down the spread immensely.

I won’t be the first to take it, but I’ll wait a little bit before I do. I don’t want to get COVID again

When I was growing up, they gave us the vaccines in the school. Or we couldn't go to school.

"All 50 states in the U.S. mandate immunizations for children in order to enroll in public school, but the specific vaccines required differ from state to state and various exemptions are available depending on the state. All states have exemptions..."

I’m personally in no hurry to get the vaccine, probably never will. I think a lot of this could have just been handled with common sense(cleanliness), no lockdowns necessary. Wait after the November election and all of a sudden you’ll see a lot of this “fear” go away.

But this whole COVID drama definitely put the pedal to the metal on this whole new world order shit. Digital dollars, digital health passports, Bio-chips in people etc. At this point no economic or political elitists can be trusted.

masks may be a more effective protection against coronavirus than any potential vaccine.

Just sayin', I don't think all of the vaccines in development (if any) is starting using a drug made from scratch. Several are experimenting with drugs that have helped with the previous SARS and MERS, and even Ebola, like Remdesivir. Those drugs have a bit more of a resume and we know more about them. The DNA ones are more of a new thing.

Every medicine, vaccine, treatment, surgery, has side effects. We accept them because we know that the benefits are greater than the risks. I mean have you seen the side effects of birth control? Any medicine ad on tv/magazines listing possible side effects? Hell, people smoke cigarettes. Do I need to list the ingredients, or the more-than-likely effects on your body? Just put one next to the other one and like, it just doesn't make much sense to be scared, unless you're one of those nut jobs that thinks Bill Gates is out to nanochip us with 5G, because we're so important.

I'm sure it's still easier to get in a car crash.

No way it's mandatory in the USA. Likely to be mandatory in a socialist country like Australia or Sweden.

I hate to break it to you, but Australia has more economic freedoms than America, and this is proven.

Australia definitely has its issues but comparing it to the United States in the manner you have is just misleading.

I'd never take a rushed vaccine.
But eventually, I think I'll take it too. Here in Switzerland, they don't rush it as much as in the US and have (to my knowledge) stricter rules than the US.

Maybe USA, inc. plans to cash flow the national debt by selling vaccines or rights to use the vaccine to other countries? Either way, this is way too suspect for me. Lots of weird government power overreaches in 2020.
edit: from BOTH parties.

Its either the vaccine or accepting test on arrival. I feel like I am in a walled box being in the US right now.

Yeah, could be possible. But is it possible to have a result of the test that quickly?
I think some countries will ban travel from regions with high case numbers when you don't take the vaccine. Or you have to self-quarantine for 14 days.

100%. I just want this thing overwith. I'm not one of those who believes they know more than the epidemiologists. If it allows me to travel again, and it gets this thing under control, I'm happy to be a guinea pig.

Plus, I don't want the disease.

But I absolutely DO NOT want the government telling me I HAVE to take it. That's where I draw the line.

I always thought the rush was only due to the election in November but that's a good point.
But if it's public that they rushed the vaccine to cash flow the national debt the US has some serious problems.

Yes. The deep swab test is 97% accurate, and has results in 15 minutes.

I'm pretty shocked the propaganda messages are published on that site, which appears to be run by the NIH?Screen Shot 2020-09-17 at 11.46.16 AM.png

Eventually, yes, absolutely.

The caveat though is that I'd want to review the science behind it first and foremost, I'd want to see how the 'early adopters' react to it, and I'd want to see how the infection rate changes with vaccination in various communities.

I'm extremely pro-vaccine, but I'm also not in a hurry to get jabbed with medicine that was produced at historically breathtaking speeds either.

Like anything, let's see what the science says. Not facebook "experts", not wellness or holistic "professionals", not some discredited doctor with a tell-all book, not the news media, but ACTUAL scientists.

Not until I am convinced vaccines have nothing to do with falling birth rates and lowering sperm counts around the world.
