1972 Chevy Nova with the top end in a milk crate. Picked it up for $300, got it running and raced the hell out of it. Man, I wish I still had that car....

That was a cheap hot rod! Had a cousin with one the had a Hurst floor shifter and would let me drive it - even though I was 13!

My first car was an Opel Corsa B.
I went to work every weekend (as a student) to have enough savings to get the car.
By the time I had enough, I heard the car was sold..
Coming home a few days later, after finishing my driving courses, I had the nicest surprise of my life!
My parents got the car for me as a gift!
This was the exact moment I came home (11 years ago):

Congratulations on your first car. It means freedom (of movement at least) in some way.

Here's my first car and financial mistake anno 2004, a 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse:

Probably wasted somewhere between 15.000 and 17.000 euros on this car (including the car itself), but boy was i famous for having it.

Looking back on this phase of my life i can't help but laugh about myself. So stupid.

Wow. I think you had the best first car among all of us. My first car was Ford Escort 2000, and I got it from my father. But I'm thankful for such a car because I was able to practice.

1992 Toyota Paseo. It was a great car that my brother had given me. It was a 5 speed and it sat in my driveway for a year before I actually got my license. Sold it to some guy a couple years later for $600 and then with my own money purchased a 1997 Honda Prelude. That thing was a piece of trash that caused me more problems than my first car.

A 10 years old 1996 Fiat Bravo, inherited from my dad who changed the car. Instead, the first car that I bought was a 2007 Abarth Grande Punto, a little but quite fast car :)

I just bought my first car and i'm super happy about it. It's a 2006 Saturn Ion Quad Coupe.
Just wanted to share the feeling with others and ask what was your first car?

1988 Chevy Beretta. Bought it from a vice principal from an area School. Had 140K miles, was candy apple red. Paid $1400 - basically my summers wages. I believe the speedometer went up to 120 and I'm pretty sure I did that a time or two. God I hope my son isn't like me..

The guy threw in 2 BIG snow tires for the front and the car was a TANK in the snow. Fo real!

I really liked that car.

Showing my age.

First car, '65 Pontiac Lemans, 4 door.
Kept it for 8 months, and worked my butt off after school because I had my eye on a '68 Chevelle SS396, 4 speed. Think I bought it for $1500 as it was only 3 years old at the time.
That was my all-time favorite car-ever.

Miss that car more than any girlfriend I ever had.

Bought in Sept. 2016 when I turned 25 (yes I didn't have my own car until I was 25)

2005 Acura TSX with 117K miles on it. Got it for around 7K. Still drives great, up to 148K miles. Gonna drive this thing into the ground
