I am looking to purchase some sort of device for listening to audio books. What do you use/recommend? I like reading out loud so I can hear the words so I figured its about time I got something to play audio books. Thank you!

Not sure if serious.

Computer, smartphone, tablet + headphones?!

I'm using Audible too. Good reminder actually. Been paying 9,99/month forever and havent listened to anything in almost a year :(.

Ah the beauty of direct debit subscription business models.

I use an IPod shuffle. It's super-easy to download the book from Audible and transfer the book to my IPod shuffle using ITunes. Then, I can take the book anywhere -- hiking, walking, doing housework, whatever...

I use my iPhone. It's great and audible offers a great application. What's nice about it as well is that if you have Kindle Unlimited the audiobooks download right into your audible app.

But the perks about having it on your phone is that it's always with you. Plus you have access to podcasts as well as other apps if you want them as well. No reason to purchase a second device -- unless your phone has a small amount of storage space or you have an older model phone.

But audible is an amazing service. But you have to listen to the books to get anything from it.
