I've read alot of threads on here about buying and flipping websites - but what about buying an larger internet business and running it as a fastlane path?

For example, ewedding.com is currently for sale on both Flippa and Bizbuysell.com - http://www.bizbuysell.com/Business-...zZnElM2QlMmZ3RUZDWEowY3oweEpuYzljUSUzZCUzZA==

They offer a simple website hosting and building tool for soon-to-be married couples. Net Profits are around $400k and they are asking $1.2mm. On a cursory analysis I would think the wedding site market would be a pretty good, evergreen market to be in. Lots of people who are ready to spend money and lots of ways to cross market and monetize the users. I like the fact the business is already proven and making money. If you can get financing is this a quick and high success percentage way of landing in the fastlane?

I suppose one question should be - what would it cost me to build a copy of the site and promote that instead?

What are the thoughts on buying a larger internet business like this, i.e. one that is providing a real service or product and has real revenues?
