I have a terrible case of the virus that can not be named (thanks 3 vaccines that did so much lol) and won't be able to host the call tomorrow due to having almost no voice or breath.
If someone else could take over hosting for this week that would be great.

Sorry to hear you got sick on our last meeting of the year. It's unfortunate that the virus has hit you despite the precautions. This virus sure doesn't play fair, does it?

About the call tomorrow – no worries, I've got your back. I did host the call once before, so I'm familiar with the drill. I'll step in for this week's session. Let's give our @Subsonic some time off to recover, and I'll make sure our call goes off without a hitch.

As this is the last meeting of the year, let's take the most out of it by focusing on the execution path each one of us should be following either to get the first client (a.k.a. "starting fastlaners") or keep scaling the business/building a robust business (a.k.a. "consolidated fastlaners").


For those new to these meetings who don’t have an idea/business yet, your task is clear and simple: focus on solving one (seriously, just ONE) specific problem that others have.

As a reference, you have chapter 35 of Unscripted , which deals specifically with the commandment of NEED, which is the bedrock for any Fastlane endeavor.

The key takeaway is that this is all about relative value for your target audience. So your goal should be to skew value as much as possible given your context (i.e., skills, experience, education, etc.)

Yet, don’t get overwhelmed with daunting tasks; first, follow @Andy Black 's motto of “Who can you help this week?”

Since we're following @MJ DeMarco's framework to tackle entrepreneurship, I think it could be a valuable reminder to check out chapters 38-41 from Unscripted as it deals with Kinetic Execution (a.k.a. "what must be done to move the needle forward").

I think this can help everyone to get more clarity as to what goals/actions you can take this week to make effective progress.

Finally, please fill in the following Google Doc to get a general profile of you and your business. As new people come and go in these weekly meetings, it can be quite difficult to keep track of all projects and know at what stage you’re in. This can also help @Subsonic to complement his notes when planning these meetings.

Progress Thread Update - Week 5 (1/1/2024)
Hello again, this is the 5th week of my progress thread of my life in general and for my business that I'm working on. I haven't been very consistent on my goals these past two weeks but getting back on, RIGHT NOW! Currently I decided to continue working on another set (2 of them) of diaper prototypes, as I have already made 2, but they weren't the vision I wanted, so I'm making another. As for my goals I have done the following:

1) Finish Unscripted by the 16th - and then get started on reading the Great Rat Race - I'm 95% there to finishing and will also be reviewing my notes to implement and execute onto my life & business
2) Finish my APEX classes by the 14th to be on track to graduate high school - I have finished 1 class so far, but contacted my school to see how much time I have to complete them, and they said until March, I have time but will work to have this done already
3) Finish up Diaper research for materials and add-ons/"Features" to add & asking teachers at school for help on getting these materials - I haven't made my list of ideas and questions yet but will make it and send my teachers an email about it and in-person when I come back to school on January 8th.
4) Have another better version of my diaper prototype with implementation of Inventor Call Notes I jotted down - Thank You @Spenny & @Mikkel for the talk and advice! - I have made 2 so far that need testing and validation, but I'm currently making another with different items and materials too.

My goals for the next 2 weeks (1/14/23) to complete that moves me closer to my long-term goals are:
1) Research more about the process of building, iterating, and improving prototypes to be finalized and manufactured
2) Make 2 more diaper prototypes and have them tested on my siblings; then observe and improve again
3) Work on finishing the 2nd APEX class for school
4) Be more active on FLF, add more value, and add value to people
5) Continue researching and validating the product for deficiencies, problems, needs, wants, etc. to determine if my diaper is viable and worth it to be made and brought to the market

These are the main 5 that will vastly move the needle to my goals. Although I get a feeling of fear and a pain in my stomach when I have to do something hard, uncomfortable, or that I may not know, I will do it, because it's an opportunity & privilege to grow as a human. Sorry for not have shown up during last week's accountability call. I have been less productive this past month but changing NOW! Getting my life & priorities Stright to overcome my own limiting beliefs and lack of initiative. I will be on the call this Saturday, 100% and will not miss it with results and task done.

Apologies for missing a few weeks, we had downsized recently and experienced a rather large project that came about so it required me to disappear into a black whole of work and more work, on the bright note it was extremely profitable and we have 100% happy clients raving about the results, however this isnt sustainable on my end, working on raising up leadership and developing processes, will be doing my very best to make this Saturday, thanks!
