Good morning all,

Really great to be here and I look forward to connecting with you all as we support each other through our entrepreneurial journeys. I've always felt that we (as in the collective human race) were meant for so much more than the scripted education / employment / debt enslavement / worked into drudgery and depression only to MAYBE be rewarded with a retirement spent regretting the waste of life and energy. @MJ DeMarco has articulated this so well in his books and reading them has been akin to taking a red pill and unveiling a truth that I expect many of us instinctively felt and knew.

So who am I then? I'll try to keep this brief as I'm sure you are all busy people but I was that scripted guy who had no better guidance. Here is a rapid overview:

Coasted through school and college - constantly bitched at for not trying or applying myself...

Bluffed my way to University - actually had to study quite hard for my architecture degree.

Got a relatively good job as an architects assistant - could not shake the feeling that this isn't what I'm supposed to be doing with my life. Feeling became overwhelming so I needed a change.

Needed to 'find myself' - went travelling and did the same shit everyone else does. Found very little beyond plenty of debt but did make the firm decision to do something more meaningful and join the armed forces.

Get home from travelling and apply for the armed forces the very next day - find out the application process is like pushing treacle up a hill and need to find work in the interim period.

Work some bullshit jobs ranging from recruitment consultant to office admin bitch. All ok because I have my armed forced application in progress.

Somehow bluff my way through army officer selection and get offered a place at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst - overwhelming relief and sense of purpose.

Spend a year running around hills with a map, digging and living in holes in the ground, shooting things and pretending to kill Gurkhas on training exercises all whilst getting shouted at for a range of minor offences - hated it at the time but now look back on one of the best years of my life.

Commission into the Army as an intelligence officer - less digging in and more power point.

Go on a peacekeeping tour with the UN - great experience and some exciting times.

Return to battalion life - largely boring and constantly battling to keep my soldiers safe from bullshit jobs.

Get dicked about by the chain of command - on the bus / off the bus.

Get married to the same woman twice due to being dicked around - thanks Army...

Second tour, this time to Iraq and this time with a proper enemy to fight - spend 6 months with the 101st Airborne removing Da'esh from Iraq. Find out wife is pregnant and couldn't be happier.

Bring all my guys back safe and sound but I pick up two torn Achilles tendons.

Try to recover whilst on leave - wife gives birth to our first son which changes everything.

Back to battalion life but now with a significant injury - can't take part in physical training, can't deploy and can't pursue work with some of the more specialist units. This became my 'F*ck this event'.

Career options become limited and I'm stuck behind a desk - become miserable as F*ck. Small negatives of the job that I would normally have ignored become too much. Make the decision that if I cannot apply for specialist roles then I cannot continue with this career.

Delude myself that money will make things better and all I need is that big city salary - chase that big city salary and land a great job with a big 4 consultancy.

Buy a big house for my family and renovate it thoroughly - huge amounts of debt and I am now a slave to it.

Stuck in my job, stuck with having a boss, stuck with having to commute for hours a day - need a way out.

Stumble across The Millionaire Fastlane - devour it in record time, is this possible? Can I find that junction and get out of the slowlane?

Pick up Unscripted - holy F*ck this chimes with my soul. THIS is going to be my way out!

So what am I going to do about it?

Well I looked at what is actually important to me and there were two overarching themes:

- Helping others achieve their goals.
- Preventing others from suffering the type of injury that has had such an impact on me.

This has given birth to a host of ideas, designs, prototypes and finally, a business that will do all it can to improve people's physical performance, help them train harder, recover faster and stay in the fight. The focus is on sports physio devices and sports performance clothing to achieve this.

There is still a hell of a lot of work to be done, everything from finding a reliable manufacturer and supply chain, website design, product photography and advertising - the list seems endless. But I'm now on that journey and whilst combining it with a demanding job to keep paying those debts is going to be a huge pain in the a$$, I'm excited to see how far this journey can go.

If you've made it this far then thanks for sticking with me. I genuinely am looking forward to learning from you all.

Best regards.

tl;dr - man follows the script but realises it is bullshit and is now in the process of re-writing his own so that he can help others achieve their goals and at the same time free himself from the drudgery of a scripted existence.
