I had been traveling for many hours. I had to meet someone at a certain time. I got on the last train with my big 50lb suitcase. I put the suitcase next to me in the seat area next to me. There were only a few people on the train at this time. But an hour later, and a half hour from my stop the train filled up. Four young people come up to me and say "Can you move your suitcase to the upper rack?". I said "No, it's 50 lbs. and if I put it up there I won't be able to get it out at my stop in time.". They said "We'll help you get it down." I said "No, I don't want to take chances. I have to get off at the stop." The four became really angry and sat in the available seats beside ne side of me with one of their legs over my suitcase.
I think now I should have put the suitcase up above. I strive everyday to be a gentleman. Do you think what I do was wrong?
