Viewing A House For Future Dreams/Goals?

Just out of curiosity, would it be wrong to go check out say a house on that's on sale to build my 1/5/10 plansay? Like an Open House, for if I don't really know what is that I want to have in say 10 years? Because my 1/5/10 Plansay is looking very bleak at the moment.

Don't see it as a problem if it is an open house and no other people are impacted. I would NOT, however, engage an agent and waste their time.

As a Realtor of 7 years, I can definitely say that there is zero problem with touring a property at an open house.

Even engaging an agent is fine, if you are upfront about your motive and timeline. They will let you know if they don't have time to service you.

In terms of booking a private showing, I would say that's a hard no. Sellers put lots of time into preparing a home for showings and often have to remove pets and kids for a full hour. It's just not respectful of their time.

Keep in mind that there are many properties that have 3D virtual tours available for you to view online.

OMG it really does, although mine is 2X as big and 2X the cost. Interestingly, this house, the way it is photographed, looks much larger than mine, although I think because I have 3 floors. The taxes on this TX home are also 4X the cost of mine.

It was in a listing that I received from Zillow this morning, there was another one in it as well.
