Hey everyone,
I'm SD, a veterinarian. I've been listening to The Millionaire Fastlane as an audiobook, and it's been an eye opener unlike any book I've read. I've never come across an author who tells the truth about life so plainly, without sugarcoating anything, blaming anyone, or tearing anyone down. It's just reality. Kudos to MJ for such an amazing piece of work.
It showed me that I'm a slow lane poster child. I've wanted to be an entrepreneur for a long time, but I'm stuck at the starting line.
Where I'm at: I have a stable career and deep professional expertise in animal health, but no business idea yet. I don't have technical skills like coding or marketing, so I'm starting from scratch there.
What I'm working toward: A secondary business that could eventually grow beyond trading my time for money. I also want to stay motivated and learn from the experiences of others here.
What I'm stuck on: Finding an idea and a niche. I don't know what options exist for someone with a veterinary background, or where to look.
What I can offer: Veterinary knowledge and a firsthand view of the pet industry's problems. I'm also happy to collaborate if anyone wants to brainstorm or build something together and needs that expertise.
My question for you: For those who started a side business while working a demanding professional job, how did you find your first idea, and how did you stay motivated through the early stages?
Looking forward to learning from all of you.
