In these unstable times my business has been doing surprisingly okay. But, I fully realize that my customers are what keep me well fed. And if my customers lose their income, it ends up affecting me.

I have set aside a portion of my income to invest as a hedge against the decline of the market in the upcoming 6 months or so.

I will be putting a few thousand towards buying OTM puts. If the economy tanks this year and end up becoming a full-blown recession, I should be in a position to replace what I would've had made if I had a couple more crews working full time this year. If my option contracts expire worthless, then I will have lost a few thousand dollars and theoretically my business shouldn't experience an extreme drop in demand.

I'll update my progress if there is any.

What are your strategies in the upcoming months?
