Hey guys! My blog, which is a dating advice blog (started a month ago, about 80-100 visitors a day now), is still WIP.
There are only 7 entries. I need to write a lot more.
I figure the biggest point is that my blog is a brand. I need the audience to care who I am as a person. I need to provide more credibility. I'm in the works of writing a 3 part post about my transition into a "Casanova." This will let give the audience a chance to actually connect with me. My about page is not really cutting it imo.
I do plan to splash photos of myself when I was a geek and how I am now to personalize the blog more. I figure lots of pictures with me hanging out with hot girls would work well, yeah?
For some of you guys who are famiiar with pick up artists, I'm trying to avoid that scene completely. I think it's more marketable this way. I can still provide excellent advice without using "PUA" lingo and other references.
What I've learned so far:
"How to" guides with definitive steps attract the most traffice. My "How to approach a hot girl in 4 steps" get's the most attention at of all (a wopping 7) of my posts.
So what does this mean? It means people like to read and learn about things in easily digestible steps.
Also, I get a lot of traffic from people looking for sexy pictures of girls. Pictures help a lot.
Questions:
1) I'm thinking about incorporating videos into my website. With that though, is it good to use youtube? Or is a distraction?
2) I'm thinking of getting aweber. Right now, the subscription form for my website looks pathetic.
My Money Plan
Right now, I've simply concentrating on creating good content, delivered in an effective way. I'm tryring to write better and add things like videos in the future.
Ultimately, I want to create as much traffic as possible (duh). Then when I have a good following, I'm going to write an ebook and sell that.
Create great content -> attract lots of traffic -> create and then sell ebook -> makes lotsof money $$$!
