Well I don't have to work anymore, after saving up my emergency funds, I'm set for 1-2 yrs (if things stay as I predict). It wasn't through any fastlane business though, but just saving from my menial labor job.
So I don't want to work anymore, but if I don't work, I don't have a healthy stream of income coming in (financial aid doesn't count as healthy to me). So I run the risk of feeling like, "I'm not working, I'm such a loser". Then again, I don't like menial working, so why should I do it?
Pros of not working
- can focus on my finance degree (goal is to get into medical school)
- freer lifestyle
- happier
cons of not working
- sense of feeling unsafe....
- but it's not like I'm going to starve either or fall on my face
If you had the option of not working for survival, would you end it as soon as possible? Especially if it's not a career and its close to min wage.
