Hello everyone! I bookmarked FLF a couple of years ago and just a few weeks ago decided to actually read. And....HOLY HECK, you guys are awesome! I am about 2/3 of the way through reading TMF after buying it last night.
A bit about me: I left a government job about 10 years ago to start my own business and did everything wrong.
Everything in my business (making stuff) had to be done by me and physically I can no longer keep up that kind pace due to health problems (minor but they limit the hammering and stuff that I used to do). I started looking for a way to separate my time from my earning--before I even knew that was in the book! Then when I read here about creating value for others, a huge lightbulb went off and lo and behold, I have my mission: To use everything I have learned to help others sell their work.
I am currently on the sidewalk writing e books for other creative types. I am far from the fast lane, but at least I'm wearing roller skates.
All, of you, especially MJ, thank you, thank you, thank you for this forum. Seriously, it changed my thinking and is changing my life.
