Lessons From Apple
Jony Ive, (Senior Vice President, Apple) learned three important things from Steve Jobs, which have defined the success of Apple. These lessons are simplistic yet profound.
Focus: Is not something you aspire to, because it's happening every single minute...and demands constant inquiring about 'why you are talking about something, when you’re supposed to be talking about something else'.
Saying No: It's about not doing something, even if it's a phenomenal idea, because it prevents you from staying on task.
Product vs. Emotion: Beautifully focused, with little time for behavioral niceties. This was often perceived as harsh. Steve (Jobs) felt that ego got in the way of product, when emotions enter the picture.
