I thought this video summed it up nicely, it touches on how Tai Lopez started off his business career by scamming people before pretending to be hugely succesful. Times change but the guru stays the same, some loudmouth who shouts a lot and uses the term "brokie" or "alpha". Lopez, Lock, Tate, recognise these chumps for what they are, filthy scammers looking to prey on your vulnerability.

This could be summarized by saying that “when you have money, it’s easy to make more money”.

All of those fake gurus started with money in one way or another.

A large windfall of cash.

In a way, it doesn’t matter if you make it, steal it, inherit it, loan it, etc. The point is having so much money that you don’t know what to do with it. That amount of money opens doors that are closed to virtually anyone else.

If you found yourself with $3M in cash today, it wouldn’t be hard to turn that into $30M. Whether you do it by becoming a guru or some other more “legit” type of business is secondary.

Money is the ultimate advantage in business. How many great ideas weren’t shut down succesfully using money? How many crappy ideas didn’t become successful with sufficient funding? Why do you think that the wealthy “buy out” the competition?

I think he covered 5 or 6, he forgot the other 60,000 of them and their $6K courses.

And the 99,999 others on Facebook and Instagram guaranteeing qualified leads for your fitness business or agency or you get your money back if you don't get leads, or the guy making 30k whilst out for a run selling a group on how to successfully day trade...

It seems to me the market is so flooded with the same old drivel, but then it must surely work for some if there's so many doing it?

When things get monetized it can be very difficult to decipher what's real and valuable versus what is just another pitch into the funnel of hopes and dreams...bring back the pre 2012 internet.

Advice was proper advice...social media & advertising has put a stain on so many things...

Yay, those are my competitors! :D

They all follow the wisdom of Alex Hormozi, making you a "GRAND SLAM OFFER". In the meantime, with my modest offer, I take most of their clients

My favourite “guarantee” is “if you don’t get leads, we’ll keep working for you until you do!”

Which always sound like, “If we do shit work, we’ll keep being shit!”

The market is bound to be at saturation point with this kind of nonsense...

I do understand the value of such services and how these things operate. It just looks ridiculous the same kind of copy paste style ads you see these days....

I personally have no trouble getting clients in this market, but then I don't use "Grand Slam Offers". I have a simple offer. Here's the price, here's what we'll do, do you want it?

Same ads, same business model… and I suspect the same (lack of) results for everybody involved.
