New Feature:
Also, people comment on your status updates, just like at Facebook. Just figured this out.

Also, I reactivated the DEFAULT style which renders like a mobile style.

@MJ DeMarco Hey just an fyi- I tried to "Like/Speed Post" a user on my mobile but the "Report" link kept getting in the way of doing this.

MJ, have you thought about reducing the amount of sub-forums here? A lot of them are pretty inactive with threads on the first page that haven't been responded to in several moths. I know it helps categorize the threads and finding the right info, but I think the forum would be more dynamic and easier to use if it consisted of less sub-forums. For instance "Rest stop" could just be one forums without the sub categories. It's a great forum nevertheless.

A lot of this is due to people being lazy and not posting in the correct forums. But yes, I have considered aggregating and combining forums.

Another NEW function I forgot here is you can WATCH any thread and be notified when there are new replied. While the old forum had a subscribe system, this one is far more effective.

To WATCH any thread, simply click "Watch Thread" on the upper right corner of the thread.

Also in January, look for the "speed" system to be redone (and perhaps reworked entirely) again -- just not very happy how it is set up.

I really like the INSIDERS's Call announcement on the side of the main page. This helps a lot to help someone notice that a new one is scheduled and helps as a reminder for the call as well. Thanks!

Some people have asked about the bookstore whereabouts which was lost in the transition.

I was able to get it back up.

(This page can be accessed on the home page underneath the "Book Discussions" forum.

Anytime a book is recommended (several times) I will try to add it to the bookstore so an ongoing repository is created.

How does someone give and/or get Speed? Is it simply by clicking the "Like/Speed Post" button on a post? If that's the case, are there certain levels (amounts) of "Likes Received" to reach the next speed level?

The reason I ask is on the sidebar there is a listing for "Likes Received" and another one for "Speed Points". That makes me think they are two separate things.

To me the ads are not a big deal, especially when you consider how much value this forum provides to all of us. The ads IN the actual threads that break up text were a little tacky but that get's eliminated with an INSIDERS membership . But as far as the couple ads at the top and on the side, I WELCOME them. This forum deserves to be profitable considering how much value it adds to our lives!

Hey, where is the button to like a whole thread? I've noticed that the most successful threads in this forum (tons of views and responeses) tend to have very few likes in comparison. And I think that is because the like button (for a whole thread) is not very accessible. Or maybe im just dumb.

In any case, can you show it to me pls?

EDIT: LOL, I just got it. The likes for the thread are the likes for the first post of that thread.

I'm going to run an experiment next week and get it installed. If I see the performance of the forum suffer, I will get rid of it. Just a caution for those of you who like it -- it might not stay.

The mobile site has minimal ads. INSIDERS Membership removes the inside post ad. In the future, it will remove more of them. Looking to get rid of the top header stuff (the ad, and the subscribe, etc) for INSIDERS eventually.

Likes indirectly affect speed. However, the speed system is going to be changed, and it will be drastic. As of now, speed points are allocated based on a scale of likes. Speed points increase speed. However moving forward, I am looking to change the speed system around entirely to a more direct relationship to the likes, as well as a manual transfer system when someone really provides incredible value, sort of how it was before with both "Like/Thanks" and "Speed Post" -- I can tell you right now, some will love it, some will hate it. Such is life when anything changes. That might go live this weekend.

Does anyone else have a feeling of being overwhelmed now when clicking "new posts". I think it's because subsections are hard to see, it's just a wall of posts, making it harder to distinguish which ones might be worth checking out. Is there a way to enhance them?

Yes.

You collect rep bank by making quality posts. Quality posts attract likes. Jaw dropping value will result in TRANSFERS. You can show your gratitude to others by paying them rep cash. Whatever you pay them will be subtracted from your account. It's a transaction -- they gave you value, you give them rep.

The only thing I really miss is the "Threads I started" feature...i have some threads i was OP and want to add to from time to time - it's hard to find them now.
