The Law Of Attraction Is Complete Bullshit. Here's What I Learned After Practicing It for 4 Years, Reading Over 50+ Books from Neville Goddard to Vadim Zeland, and Watching hundreds of Videos and Podcasts.

I need to tell you something that's going to piss off a lot of people.

But if you're reading this, there's a part of you that already knows.

You've been lied to.

I was too.

For four years, I was completely consumed by the Law of Attraction and every derivative that came with it. Neville Goddard, Joseph Murphy, Abraham Hicks, Vadim Zeland's Reality Transurfing, the Law of Assumption, Quantum Jumping you name it, I studied it.

Over 50 books. Thousands of hours of YouTube videos. Hundreds of podcasts. Countless Reddit posts. I did SATS every night. I revised my past. I lived in the end. I scripted. I affirmed until my inner voice was hoarse.

I defended this stuff like my life depended on it.

And then one day, I couldn't lie to myself anymore.

Nothing was working. And it wasn't just me.

What follows isn't theory. It's not skepticism from someone who never tried. This is from someone who went all in and came out the other side realizing the entire thing is a house of cards.

If you're tired of blaming yourself for "blocking" your manifestations...

if you're exhausted from the mental gymnastics...

if you're starting to wonder why this "law" seems to work for everyone except you...

Because I'm about to show you exactly why.

1. Laws Don't Have Exceptions. This Does.

Let's start simple.

A law of nature doesn't give a shit about your mood, your worthiness, or whether Mercury is in retrograde.

Drop a ball. It falls. Every single time. That's gravity.

Heat water to 100°C at sea level. It boils. No exceptions. That's thermodynamics.

Plant a seed in the right conditions. It grows. That's biology.

Now tell me: where are the people manifesting with 100% accuracy?

Where are the practitioners who get exactly what they want, when they want it, how they want it, without fail?

They don't exist.

Instead, you get "success stories" that sound like this:

"I manifested my SP texting me!" (Translation: Your ex sent you a breadcrumb text like exes do.)

"I manifested $43!" (Translation: You got a refund you forgot about.)

"I manifested a parking spot!" (Translation: You found a spot in a lot that usually has spots.)

And when it doesn't work?

"You have limiting beliefs."

"Your vibration is off."

"You're too attached."

"Trust divine timing."

"You need to heal your inner child first."

Here's what I realized after four years: **If something requires an endless list of conditions to work, and still doesn't work consistently, it's not a law.**

It's an excuse generator.

2. You Don't Control the How or the When. So Where's Your Power?

This one broke me.

I spent months "living in the end" of my desired reality. Feeling it real. Embodying the state. All the things Neville told me to do.

And nothing happened.

When I asked why, I was told: "You can't control the how or the when. Just trust the universe."

Wait.

Stop.

Think about that for a second.

If I can't control when something happens or how it happens... then I'm not the one making it happen.

When I have real power, I use it directly:

I decide to lift my arm. My arm lifts. Instantly. I don't "trust the timing" of my arm. I don't "detach from the how" my muscles work.

I decide to send an email. I type it and hit send. It sends. I don't need to "align my vibration" with sent emails.

I decide to make coffee. I make coffee. The coffee exists. I don't need to "let go and let God" handle the coffee beans.

But with manifestation?

You need to visualize, affirm, believe, feel, detach, trust, surrender, let go, stop caring, start caring, be specific, be general, take action, don't take action, live in the end, persist in the assumption, revise the past, script the future...

And after all that, you still can't say when it'll happen or how.

That's not power. That's begging.

If the power was mine, I'd use it like I use every other power I actually have directly, immediately, and with full control.

The fact that you can't proves the power isn't yours.

3. The Contradictions Should've Been the First Clue

Here's where it gets really obvious.

I spent years in these communities watching people share their "techniques."

Some people said: "Detach completely and it comes."

Others said: "Obsess over it and it comes."

Some people said: "Affirm constantly."

Others said: "Never affirm. Just embody."

Some people said: "Visualize every day."

Others said: "Visualization blocks it."

And you know what? All of them had success stories. And all of them had failures.

Do you see the problem?

If detachment was the key, then everyone who detached would succeed and everyone who didn't would fail.

But that's not what happens.

People who detach get results. People who detach get nothing.

People who obsess get results. People who obsess get nothing.

The variable isn't YOU. It's not your technique. It's not your belief.

It's external factors you're not controlling:
probability, circumstances, other people's choices, timing, luck, and real-world cause and effect.

But the LOA community can't admit that, because if they did, the whole thing collapses.

So instead, they reframe those external factors as "divine timing," "the universe's plan," or "your subconscious manifesting."

It's the same thing with a spiritual filter.

4. I Read Over 50+ Books. Every Single One Moved the Goalposts.

Neville Goddard told me to live in the end and persist in the assumption.

Joseph Murphy told me my subconscious is the key and I need to reprogram it.

Abraham Hicks told me it's all about my vibration and feeling good.

Vadim Zeland told me to let go of importance and surf the reality wave.

Florence Scovel Shinn told me to use affirmations and denials.

The Secret told me to ask, believe, receive.

Each book had a different method. Each author swore their method was THE method.

And you know what I noticed?

Whenever their method didn't work, they added conditions.

Neville: "If it didn't work, you didn't persist long enough."

Murphy: "You have a subconscious block."

Hicks: "Your vibration dropped."

Zeland: "You had too much importance attached."

The goalposts moved every time.

I'd try one method. It wouldn't work. I'd read another book explaining why the first method failed and why THIS method was better.

Rinse. Repeat. For four years.

Looking back, I realize what was happening:
I was being kept on a hamster wheel.

Each failure was reframed as "you're doing it wrong," never "this doesn't work."

5. The Success Stories Are Designed to Keep You Hooked

Let me tell you about success stories.

They're everywhere in LOA communities. They're the entire marketing engine.

And they're bullshit.

Not because people are necessarily lying (though some definitely are), but because of what they're counting as "manifestations."

Watch this:

Someone "manifests" their SP texting them. (Exes text. That's what they do. Especially when you stop texting them first.)

Someone "manifests" $50. (You only remember the times money shows up unexpectedly. You forget the 99 times it didn't.)

Someone "manifests" a job offer. (After applying to 47 jobs. But they credit the visualization, not the applications.)

Someone "manifests" feeling better. (Emotions fluctuate naturally. But now it's proof the law works.)

These are random events, normal probability, or the direct result of real-world action—but they're being rebranded as manifestations.

Meanwhile, where are the people who manifested:

- Their exact SP back, permanently, with no breakup cycles?
- Winning the lottery multiple times?
- Regrowing a lost limb?
- Curing a terminal illness?
- Something genuinely impossible that can't be explained by coincidence?

They don't exist.

And the few who claim these things? They never have proof. It's always a friend of a friend. Or it happened off-camera. Or they can't share details because "privacy."

You're only seeing the hits, never the misses. That's survivorship bias. That's how casinos make money.

6. I Watched Thousands of Videos. They All Said the Same Thing Differently.

After four years and thousands of hours of content, I realized something horrifying:

They're all saying the exact same thing, just remixed.

Every YouTube coach. Every podcast host. Every course creator.

"You are the creator of your reality."

"Your assumptions create your world."

"Change your inner state and the outer follows."

"Persist in the wish fulfilled."

Same message. Different words. New branding.

Why?

Because you need to keep consuming.

If manifestation actually worked, you'd learn it once and be done. You'd manifest your dream life and never need another video.

But that's not what happens.

Instead, you keep watching. Because it didn't work yet. Because you're trying to find the "missing piece." Because maybe THIS coach explains it better. Because you need motivation to keep believing.

The content isn't there to teach you. It's there to keep you subscribed.

And I fell for it. For four years, I kept watching, kept reading, kept searching for the secret behind the Secret.

There is no secret. There's just repackaged self-help and a lot of magical thinking.

7. Everyone Is You Pushed Out? No. That's Just Narcissism With a Spiritual Bow.

EIYPO :"Everyone Is You Pushed Out" was one of the hardest beliefs to let go of.

Because it sounds so empowering at first.

"You mean I can change how people treat me just by changing my assumptions about them? I'm in control?"

No. You're not.

What EIYPO actually does is make you responsible for other people's abuse.

Did your partner cheat? You assumed they would.

Did your boss fire you? You must've had limiting beliefs about job security.

Did a stranger insult you on the street? Your inner state attracted it.

It turns every bad thing that happens to you into YOUR fault.

But here's the reality: people have free will. People surprise you. People do things you never assumed, expected, or imagined.

If EIYPO were true, no one would ever shock you with a betrayal. No one would ever act out of character. Every person would be a perfect mirror of your assumptions about them.

But that's not what happens.

People are unpredictable. Because they're real. Because they have their own thoughts, motivations, and agency.

Treating others like NPCs in your reality is not empowerment. It's delusion.

And it kept me stuck in toxic situations for way too long, thinking I could "assume better" and change them.

I couldn't. Because they weren't me pushed out. They were them.

8. If Neville Goddard Mastered This Law, Why Is He Dead?

This question haunted me.

Neville Goddard is the godfather of the Law of Assumption. His teachings are treated like gospel in LOA communities.

He claimed to have mastered the law. He claimed he could manifest anything by assuming it was already done.

So why did he die at 72 from a stroke?

Why didn't he assume he'd live to 150? Or assume he was immortal?

If he truly had the power to manifest anything, why didn't he manifest the ultimate thing life itself, indefinitely?

The answer is obvious: He couldn't. Because the law doesn't work the way he said it did.

He was a brilliant teacher and a compelling speaker. But he didn't have magical powers. He had confirmation bias and a talent for storytelling.

Same with every other guru. None of them have manifested anything that defies natural law. They've manifested book sales. Course enrollments. Speaking gigs.

Those are the results of marketing and charisma. Not metaphysical mind powers.

9. The Techniques Contradict Each Other Because There's No Real Mechanism

After 50+ books, I noticed something:

Every teacher has a different technique. And every teacher swears theirs is the right one.

Neville: SATS (State Akin to Sleep visualization).

Murphy: Subconscious reprogramming through repetition.

Hicks: Feeling good and getting into the vortex.

Zeland: Reducing importance and choosing your reality branch.

Dispenza: Meditation and rewiring your brain.

Silva: Using alpha state and mental screens.

And you know what? People report "success" with all of them. And people report failure with all of them.

If there was a real mechanism a genuine law at work there would be one technique that works.

You don't need 47 different ways to use gravity. You just drop the thing. Gravity does its job.

But with LOA? There are infinite techniques because none of them are actually doing anything.

They're just giving you something to do while probability plays out in the background.

10. The "Blocks" Are Infinite So You Never Run Out of Excuses

Didn't manifest? You have a block.

What kind of block?

- Limiting belief
- Subconscious programming
- Childhood trauma
- Past life karma
- Ancestral patterns
- Lack of self-love
- Unworthiness
- Fear of success
- Fear of failure
- Too much attachment
- Not enough desire
- Energetic resistance
- Frequency mismatch
- Sabotaging thoughts

The list of possible "blocks" is infinite.

Which means you can never prove the law doesn't work. There's always another block to clear, another layer to heal, another technique to try.

It's unfalsifiable. Like a conspiracy theory. Every piece of counter-evidence just proves how deep the conspiracy goes.

Except it's not a conspiracy. It's a con.

11. I Wasted Four Years Waiting for the Universe. I Could've Been Building.

This is the part that hurts the most.

For four years, I waited.

I visualized instead of taking action.

I "lived in the end" instead of working toward the beginning.

I trusted divine timing instead of creating my own timeline.

And you know what happened? Nothing.

My life stagnated. My bank account didn't grow. My relationships didn't improve. My career didn't take off.

Because I was sitting around feeling feelings and assuming assumptions while the world moved on without me.

The LOA keeps you passive.

It tells you action from "lack" blocks your manifestation. It tells you to let go of the how. It tells you to trust the universe.

Translation: Don't do anything. Just wait. Keep visualizing. Keep believing. Keep buying courses.

Meanwhile, the people actually getting results? They're taking massive action.

They're learning skills. They're networking. They're failing forward.

They're not manifesting. They're building.

And I wasted four years not doing that.

12. The Coaches Selling This Can't Prove They're Using It

Here's a fun game: ask any LOA coach to manifest something impossible on camera.

Regrow a limb. Levitate. Turn water into wine. Win the lottery on demand.

They won't.

They'll tell you "it doesn't work that way" or "I don't need to prove anything to skeptics" or "that would be using the law for ego."

But they'll happily sell you a $2,000 course on manifesting your dream life.

If they've mastered this law, why are they working?

Why are they doing sales calls? Why are they editing YouTube videos? Why are they hustling for clients?

If they could manifest unlimited money, they wouldn't need your $2,000.

The answer is simple: They make money by selling courses, not by manifesting.

They're entrepreneurs. Not wizards.

13. I Finally Accepted the Truth. And It Set Me Free.

After four years, I had to face it:

The Law of Attraction doesn't work. Not as advertised. Not as a law. Not as a reliable tool.

It's repackaged positive thinking with a side of magical thinking and a heavy dose of confirmation bias.

And when I stopped believing in it, something unexpected happened.

I started getting results.

Because I stopped waiting. I stopped visualizing and started strategizing. I stopped affirming and started learning. I stopped living in the end and started building from the beginning.

I took real action. I failed. I adjusted. I tried again.

If You're Still Reading This, You Already Know

You've felt it.

The nagging doubt. The exhaustion from trying technique after technique. The shame when it doesn't work and you blame yourself.

You've noticed that the "successful" manifestors all have something in common: they took real-world action.

You've seen the contradictions. The moving goalposts. The infinite excuses.

You already know.

The Law of Attraction is bullshit.

And admitting that doesn't make you a failure. It makes you honest.

You're not broken. The system is.

Stop blaming yourself for not manifesting. Stop giving your money to coaches who can't demonstrate their own mastery. Stop waiting for the universe to deliver what you could be building yourself.

Get off the hamster wheel.

Start building.

Your life is waiting.
