It's been awhile since I've posted, but I've been lurking here the better part of a year or so.
I initially read the MF a little over a year ago, and I've recently just completed the book again. Sadly, I did absolutely NOTHING since reading the book the first time... I had several ideas, but never took any action on anything.
I think my biggest issue (like many here) is not being FOCUSED, waiting until everything is perfect to take action, and complacency due to having a decent job. Assuming I get my annual bonus, I earn just over $100k per year... I have a nice place to live, nice car, health benefits, etc... The American Dream, right?
Wrong...
I have to work 60-80+ hours every week to have all of that.
Sure, I get the occasional weekend off and two weeks of vacation, but it's not the way I want to live my life.
I turn 29 in less than 2 weeks, and I've made a promise to myself to take action and be job-free by the time I'm 30.
The worst part about all of this for me is I taste a little piece of the Fastlane each and every month.
I used to sell insurance, and I still get $400-$500 per month in renewals deposited into my bank account. The amount of time I work on my insurance business today... 0 hours... well, 30 hours of CE every 2 years.
Not bad.
I want that... times 10... times 100...
I know I'm intelligent enough to be a multimillionaire, but I've learned through perusing this forum, reading the MF, and studying those that are successful, it doesn't take intelligence... It takes execution, focus, and action.
Additionally, I think I have been somewhat lazy and wanted my Fastlane plan handed to me on a silver platter. i suspect that is one of the big reasons why many on this forum have yet to do anything... They want it given to them.
I have some ideas that I'll be sharing over the next few days, but I plan to get to work on my Fastlane plan and escape 9-5 (for me, it's more like 6-8... hehe).
I'm not going to let the comfort of a good job prevent me from living my life for another year...
Thanks to all of you that contribute regularly on here. I will do my best to provide as much value as I can along the way and not just be a "taker" like I've been the past year or so.
