I didn't want to title this as the best slow-lane job, since this type of job cannot last pass your 40s unless you're hot (in my opinion). Bartenders, waiters, anyone who can make tips. I rather do this field then any other type of work. It's like being an actress.
I just became a waitress (similar to Hooters fyi), last night, and I realize how much I lack in social skills. I basically went through the interview, and they threw me into the job. Sink or swim. I am not a hustler at all. I hardly made enough money to make a dent. But there were some waitresses who said they made bank working.
They told me they make 3-4 k a month, one told me she makes $300 a night on a good night. But if it's a slow night, then I better be prepare, since some nights just suck. One complain last night the people weren't tipping well anyways.
I love my job already, best day ever, besides the tips but I don't care at the moment. Everyone was talking about tanning, make-up, beauty secrets... it didn't even felt like working. It was fun... The managers didn't even bother you, and you don't have to do any cleaning; bussers do that.
