Hey everyone, I'm Cody.
I don't exactly have the best typing or speaking skills but I do have the desire to be successful. I sit back a lot when I am with my friends and wonder what I am doing with my life. I attended college for about 2 years in machining and decided that working in production is definitely not where I wanted to be. After barely graduating my senior year in high school (through lack of motivation) I knew school wasn't for me, especially when I tried going to college and had no desire to be there. I have one of the strongest desires to learn and I am a worker that any boss would love to have, but I have always dreamed of being my own boss.
That being said, I am not a complete beginner in the field of trying to start a business. For about a year, I spent a lot of time learning SEO and some coding. I didn't learn as much as I should have but it did give me a better understanding of how to use the internet to an advantage. I tried starting a business, but it ended up being a money pit that I was too young and immature for in high school. My best friends dad had multiple online businesses that made good money and one in particular that he still has and is his main source of income.
Right now, the job I have is definitely not a bad one. The people I work with are great and my boss is a guy like me that started the business when he was 21 years old and now we do work not only for people in North Carolina, but from all over. But, while I think about doing more with my life all the time, there's days like today when things don't go so well and I realize I could be doing so much better.
So, after my day at work busting a$$ for mediocre pay I came home and I started looking for ways to change that. Usually I look at the stupid get rich quick stuff and within 10 minutes I'm bored and go back to watching TV.
But today, I found this forum and have been reading for 5 hours. By far, the MOST I have learned on the internet in a day. I have absolutely NEVER posted in a forum, period. I don't even post anything many other places other than a picture on instagram every now and then. I read the first 3 chapters of the book without any breaks or interuptions (which is very weird because I hardly ever read anything). I was drawn to to the hurtful truth examples and the fact that you won't get anywhere without the work. That's the way I am, and when you work your a$$ off you don't deserve to be underpaid and being told what to do. You should be the one telling someone what to do!
Basically what I'm getting at is I will be getting the book and reading it. Hopefully the rest of it is as intriguing as the beginning. Thanks for a good read so far!
