I have read TMF .
So I am an IT Engineer (Dev / Sysadmin) working in Switzerland for a middle-sized company, building a private cloud for the company. And that's all. No side projects, no new business, nothing.
I tried many times to build something on my own (websites focusing on some niche stock filter, websites focusing on gaming PC equipment, and so on) but I quickly realized that the idea I was working on was already realized by someone else in a much better way.
So I am out of ideas. What I have is free time, coding skills, understanding of complex enterprise systems and capital.
I registered here to maybe find some inspiration. I have no idea currently in which direction I want to go. Thinking about buying an online business and making it better. Or maybe do something connected to crypto/BTC or IT Security or building a SAAS. Or in case someone needs help to automate something I can give advice or even write code for free in order to get some insight into a project.
So my biggest problem currently is that I do not know in which direction I should look. Have you found yourself in similar situation where you just don't know how to decide what kind of business you want to start? How did you find inspiration?
