I recommend Succeeding by John Reed.

It's a "How-To" book in which each chapter covers how to succeed in a particular area in life.

Dense with valuable info. Reed is very direct. Like MJ, he strongly advises against listening to most gurus.

He also has written many real estate investing books, which I can't comment one since I haven't read any of them. If his style is similar in real estate books, might well be worth it.
