I have been building a project in the cybersecurity space. The goal is to help people gain practical skills through 1-on-1 sessions with experienced professionals. I have a working MVP and a few experts ready to deliver the service.

I tested the idea using an AI “business validator” script. It said my main risks are:
  1. No solid proof that people will pay for it
  2. Strong competition from free online resources
  3. Trust and payment challenges because of my location
So far, I have only been testing the concept and no one has paid yet. I have done some promotions and outreach but while there is interest it has not turned into sales.
At this point I feel stuck and I am leaning more toward changing the solution instead of spending more time trying to push this one. The problem I am solving might not be painful enough for the market.

Main blockers I am facing:
  • Market proof. I still do not know if enough people are willing to pay for this
  • Messaging. I may not be making the offer stand out or feel urgent
  • Payments. System for international payments seems hard and require investment (registering as a company in a supported country to be able to have a stripe account)
  • Promotion. I cannot openly post about it on my personal LinkedIn because I am currently employed and do not want to create issues

I would like honest advice from people who have tried selling skills or training in a competitive field like cybersecurity. How did you decide whether to continue or change direction?
