Next week, I will, finally, have my website up and running. This will officially begin my fastlane route (it's about time). I still have one doubt/reservation standing in my way, and it has to do with gaining traffic to the website. For everyone here who has developed a website and knows a lot about the process: how long did it take you until you began to see an increase in customer traffic and, eventually, conversion rates on your site? What are some of the things you did to help increase success on your site and really begin to see a consistent pattern of income develop from your website and products? Thanks for any info.

Use multiple channels if possible. If you are selling a PRODUCT, find other places to either advertise or sell your product, and let your web site mature over time.

Depends how your marketing your site. Is there a forum related to your target market that you can join? That could be a good source. There's also adwords and SEO to bring in targeted traffic. Just make sure you do proper keyword research ahead of time.

Thanks. This might be a stupid question, but what do you mean by "channels," vigilante?
