Hello,
My story:
A common theme though-out my early life was aspiring and dreaming of creating a billion business and adventuring with freedom. Despite many ambitious dreams, I slowly began to give up on them as I grew up as years of indoctrination and mindless entertainment left me feeling empty and insufficient. This became clear to me as I would have moments where I would get this feeling that I am behind in life, that something is wrong. This led me to searching up self-improvement videos on YouTube and I found a creator named Hamza. In one of his videos he detailed out the books that had helped him the most, the most notable of the list( to me at least) was the millionaire Fastlane . I ordered the book, however I regressed into my old bad habits of instant gratification for over half a year. Fast-forward to me starting University 3 months ago and that feeling of being behind hit me again. I picked up the book, enjoying it way more than I ever imagined finishing it within a week. Despite this burst of interest, it failed to turn into commitment as I chose to play video games with my new friends from University rather than taking action, however something was different this time. The feeling of being behind never went away, I couldn't just play video games and watch videos without it eating away at my conscious that I was wasting my life. I reflected and contemplated at my time at University and why I am even here. I realized that the most focused, goal-oriented, and purposeful that I had ever been was when I was reading the millionaire Fastlane . I decided to try to rekindle this flame by reading MJ's book Unscripted . This was 10 days ago and for the last 3 days I have dedicated every hour of my free time into taking action and making my dreams a reality.
Going forward:
Surprisingly I only spent 30 minutes researching business ideas until I found a fundamental problem that I wanted to solve within this society.(This is where I stop talking about me in this post and start talking about the value I am trying to provide to the world.) I saw an article on how people now are lonelier than ever, and that an increasing mass of the population is failing to gain a genuine sense of social connection. I am currently learning web and app development such that I can solve this problem. I have no experience in the psychology of social connection and no experience in web or app development but I am committed to learning. I will be posting updates on my progress in this endeavor on this forum.
