Here's my quick story, I really need help here please cus im down bad.
Im down bad guys. The only results Ive had since starting my first lead gen campaign in January is two leads, which I got after proactively doing something im not specialised in, which I couldve done anyway for a slowlane salary.
Something isn't "clicking".
Im embarrassed, afraid, panicked and humbled. I knew it wouldnt be easy and would take effort and cost but at this point I literally might as well have spent all my fees on pleasure instead of pain.
So this is my honest post of shame.
Asking for help here champs
- 22 years old, about to finish studying business at university and read fastlane + rat race.
- Had a minor FT Event when I lost my job as an account manager for a Facebook marketing agency.
- Great! I have 6 months left of uni to get out there, make a personal brand, a cool website and do loads of networking.
- Choose lead generation as my niche, B2B cold email lead gen appointment setting
- Get 2-3 clients just running pay per lead before I get a case study
- Follow deliverability, copy and follow up practices better than most cold emailers.
- No responses even with a 60% open rate. No money after a week.
- Get impatient. Try cold calling prospects. Get two bookings per day. Success?
- It took me 6 hours of work to get 2 appts from a cold list. I charged 20 quid a lead. Ive made 40 bucks today. LOL
- Look at my costs for all of this. Coming to about £200/month for my cold email clients for software, lead list, web hosting. Not including time spent writing personalized email copy and networking, posting on linkedin etc.
