I've been playing with the idea of offering interests in my LLC, the holding company of my corporation, as I build my financial team.
This would NOT be a shallow attempt to build loyalty and trust among these specialists. I believe I can give them more incentive to perform to the best of their ability for me and be more driven to the goal of making and keeping me financially free...as well as helping me achieve the lofty goals I have as an entrepreneur. I would ultimately like to hire a full-time financial team, whether outsourced or in-house.
It's silly, but I just keep having flashbacks to Gordon Gekko and how his financial team seemed to be so well-intertwined with his company that they went everywhere with him for business purposes. They worked in his office, they traveled with him on his jet, they were (obviously) at the huge Teldar shareholder meeting with him. That's what I envision with my own team at some point.
Do or have any of you done this or plan to do this? Why should or shouldn't I take this step?
