Alright, so I guess I should start by saying thank you to all of the big contributors, starters, and founders of this forum. Even though I have mainly just been the virtual version of a creeper and moocher for the last few months, without really contributing anything, there has been some invaluable information that I have read that has definitely helped me in my mindset and knowledge as far as business, entrepreneurship, motivation, and a lot more.

Since this is an introduction, I guess I should introduce myself...

I'm just a normal guy from the South. Grew up all of my life around Atlanta, Georgia, and now reside in Charleston, SC.

I am new to this forum but not new to entrepreneurship, and by that I mean I'm not new to learning about it and being a "wantrepreneur", because I honestly haven't done much of shit besides make $5.00 once with a CPA offer that I set up a free blogger for, and that was 4 years ago in high school. Besides that I have wrote content for some people and freelanced a little bit with it, and made a few hundred dollars that way, but never really took it anywhere big.

I've been a member of another popular forum that deals solely with SEO & internet marketing, since about 2012. I have been listening to startup podcasts, passive income podcasts, reading business books, listening to business audio books, eating business sandwich's (whatever that is), and a lot more since about a year ago. Anything to do with business.

SOOOOO...why in the world am I nowhere yet??

Well, I'll tell you why. It's because I felt entitled. I wasn't willing to work hard, cared what others thought too much, didn't even know what work ethic was, and expected things to be easy. When they weren't, I would give up aka turn into a vag. I just explained most of my generation right? I was also in college full time and working damn near full time to pay for it and my rent, and made excuses for myself. The normal "don't have the money" and "don't have the time" were my favorite go-to's.

Everything has changed now...

Basically I had a long a$$ novel typed out but decided that it wasn't necessary to tell you my whole life story. Here is all you really need to know...

  • I left University in South GA with a year and a half left (did that one year ago) after realizing that no one with the same degree was getting jobs, and not wanting to waste more money on a semester if I wasn't sure if I wanted that to be my degree anymore.
  • I was also, and still am, in $16,000 debt in student loans.
  • I hit the lowest point I think I ever have when I got fired from the job that I was putting myself through school and paying bills with, my trusty ole jeep stopped working, my older brother who was also my roommate got a dui (very common in my University town, as you can imagine), and ended up getting 6 months jail time while me and his fiance needed to take over his financial responsibilities for the time being, my cousin attempted suicide, my uncle who has never smoked got diagnosed with lung cancer, and I got evicted from my student apartment from having no job and prioritizing the little money I had to my brothers car and rent (due to him still having classes and a fiance there, while I had no reason to stay) All of this within a very short period of time.
  • I didn't have much of a choice but to move to Charleston with my parents and little brother
  • Tried to do some online things at that moment to make some money, but had almost no money to invest in anything obviously, and was in a very tight situation, so in my mind, I was stuck getting a 9 to 5. And by 9 to 5, I mean 5 to 5. And I lived an hour away from the place. So waking up at 3 every morning for 5 days a week, getting home at about 6:30 after bad Charleston traffic.
  • I felt like a robot more than ever. So unsatisfied and unfulfilled. At this time I was still reading about online business and researching it whenever I could. Always listening, reading, researching, and analyzing but NEVER DOING!
  • One week I told myself that I had to do whatever it took, and I had to put myself under some pressure. So I put in my two weeks that same week, after about 5 months of working there, with the intention of focusing all of that time on my own goals, rather than working on that companies goals that meant nothing to me, and really isn't doing much good for humankind.
  • I am very lucky to have parents who are letting me stay with them rent free in exchange for doing some errand running and getting and taking my little brother from school because they are gone to work. I also got my jeep back up and running while working, and it is also paid off. My older brother is out now as well and building things back up, so in other words, I have absolutely no bills or payments at the moment except for my groceries ( I eat a little differently than my family), and gas, and a good amount saved up. They didn't exactly understand my quitting the job decision, and kind of even seen it as irresponsible, but they do support my dream of running my own show, or at the very least working on my own schedule. So, once again, I am very lucky to have that and am very thankful.
  • So I have a good amount of money and i have a lot of time. All day, everyday, essentially. This is do or die for me. This is going to be where I make big change and make something happen. I've been in school and realized I don't want to rely on others hiring me, and I've worked for a company for 60+ hours a week and realized there is no way in hell that I am going to do unfulfilling, pointless, repetitive work. Much less, just for someone else to reap the rewards.
With that being said, I am excited to be here and to be finally surrounded with people who are actually into doing the same thing, running their own show, reaching full potential, and just really getting after it. I look forward to everything to come!
