Hello, currently I am doing research to find the right niche/product for an eCommerce site. Here is some current questions that I hope will get answered from anyone with experience.

What would be considered a good Global Monthly Searches?

Should a domain be .com or is .net fine?

Could a domain name have - in it? For example instead of "baseballbats.com" it would be "baseball-bats.com"

1) I generally ignore global and focus on local (in regards to organic searches). It's difficult to rank globally. I personally aim for 5k+ searches.
2) TLD generally doesn't matter for SEO. .com is good for branding though.
3) Again for SEO, dashes in the domain don't matter. I have a domain with two dashes that's ranked high.
