The purple Jag,
Silver Aston Martin,
Yellow Ferrari.

All good options, but I can't pick which to drive.

(TLDR below.)
Hey guys, I'm new to the fastlane but I've read the books each twice and still going over them as it's so much good inquisition.
I know, I know, new guy starting off asking a question but I promise to contribute as I know how valuable this kind of intel is. And need the discipline anyways.
I'll try to keep it short and concise.

I've brainstormed and tried:
Dropshipping
Kindle Publishing
Podcasting(still do this but it's on 'hold')
Digital Art
3D Modeling
Blogging
5 Youtube channels(going as far back as 2007 at 13 years old)
Freelancing(Portfolio building scared me, admittedly so barely this)
Amazon FBA
Language learning.

And lastly: Producing Adult video in the Adult industry.
Which is my current niche & I have the most faith in. As it's what I recently made money in, in my first 10 days! Faster than dropshipping which is my 2nd and only other thing I made money from.

So to put it bluntly, I've got analysis paralysis, but I do atleast start the ideas. I just never keep it up.

Please help, I'm driving myself to near anxiety trying to pick a pathway. It's so many videos and so much information online nowadays, I just find it so hard to commit and I get intimidated once I start to drive down the lane of success. My friend told me bluntly: "If you just stuck with ONE thing all this time you'd be good by now", and that echoes in my head daily. But I then start to ponder the long term. Will I really be able to do this effectively years down the line?

Right now I work a 9-5. And using said money to fuel hiring models for my vids I sell. I haven't made a profit but it's similar to publishing where it'll come eventually as the vids continue to sell. Problem is I don't want to use my 9-5 to fuel my voyage down the fastlane anymore. I know I must work this to start and have no problem doing it as MJ said "Get a freakin' job". I just simply want a more effective and less physically draining way to earn money to fuel my videos or whatever else I decide to finally commit too.

TLDR/In summary: I sell videos hiring models and want to turn this into a full fledged business, I make money but not nearly enough to live on because I simply need more content, which I need models for, which I need money for. I want to replace my 9-5 with a more affective way to earn money for this, and to ultimately achieve "financial freedom" (from a 9-5).

I'd like your guys advice on how to have the resolve to commit to one thing and if you all faced a similar ordeal in the beginning.
I could just simply start learning a trade or something to earn more but.. I'd feel I am giving up on myself if I do that. I also wouldn't mind freelancing or learning to design websites or something. But.. can't decide.
Thank you.

Just stick to the adult entertainment industry and see how it works. Maybe later you can create a specialty website catering to one fetish.

I know the foot fetish is not well developed. How about starting a foot fetish website where you also sell socks that the models have worn? And instead of just paying them a one time payment for their role in creating content you become their manager. Develope a relationship with them where you're paid a percentage of their earnings for managing their accounts and marketing.

Imagine you had to pitch your opportunity to a private investor. Would you say what you just said.

A real opportunity in a market would entail quantitative and qualitative information. It would be concrete and specific. Not sure what value is being delivered or what the plan is.

Just to be clear, you said you sell videos with models. Does that mean you shoot the videos?

Adult entertainment industry fulfils one of the most basic primal needs of humankind. It is a Need.

It is not the business idea. It's the execution and the value that you deliver. Everyone can start a blog, create an account on Upwork, or build a store on Shopify. How can you add more value than the average blogger and freelancer? What can you do better?

There are blogs with thousands of posts. Are you willing to produce the same amount and have the same or better quality?

Have you done your due diligence on the porn industry?

I say that cause it's one of the most competitive niches in the world, it's insane. If you check the risk on leveraging to scale it's just ridiculous high

I'd look into the commercial side of this kinda biz tho, sex toys sells A LOT. People go crazy about this shit and ecommercing it, when buyers can do it anonimously is a big win. Not fastlane but still good money if you in need

I have the same issue and need the "need" smack in the head. I too get overwhelmed which is code for money chasing. I now realize its a hard habit to break.

I cant recommend this book enough to you: The ONE Thing
You need to read it and learn it well.

Money chasing aside, you`ll fail at everything if you dont focus on anything.
Also, focusing on something, means dropping everything else(for hours every day).

Its fine to have interests and hobbies on the weekend. Something to just keep your body and brain active lets say.
But the rest of the time, you have to dedicate to one thing(read the book, it goes into details about family, health and how to balance that with focusing on one thing).

I've delved into Foot Fetish actually. It's extremely competitive on the low level but if you know how to mix things up (involving more than one model/mixing kinks) it can be a great venture. Downside is I don't have the capital to jump off that big (yet) so I strayed away from it. But it can be good due to how easy it is to achieve with or without models actually. But.. that directly red flags the commandment of need and low barrier to entry. I was talking to a model who recently auctioned off her socks for loooots of money just today though, and she's doing another "contest" two weeks from now. Physical items surely can be lucrative. But you need that following, but if it's one thing I really like about the adult niche, followings are really easy to build. Nothing gets people more motivated to convert than hormones. Period.

I don't get it, none of the above are needs. None of them are solutions. None of them solve problems for people, provide value, etc.

In short, I smell money chasing...

Wow! This is painful coming from you MJ. And here I thought you would be too big to reply to my little ole thread, wasn't expecting this.
Gotta admit I'm disappointed in myself hearing this from you. But you are right. But in my defense I do portray the commandment of need and think about providing value first in my adult clips. In fact I spend 2-4 hours editing even basic vids just to make them different and stand out. And I also request unorthodox things of the models even when I know it may mean they'll so no to a potential recruit. But I am mainly looking for something to replace my 9-5 to fuel the Business MJ.

In brute honesty I wasn't looking to provide value FIRST in these endeavors because I just looked at it as a means to fuel what I really want to provide value in. But yes considering a I want a business platform to leverage my business I should think that way first. But again, I have hard time focusing on one thing... I'm not mentally retarded, I'll pick just one thing soon. I have too. Thanks for the reply. I think I'm on the 2nd listen of Unscripted and still find stuff I've missed haha.

Just to be clear, you said you sell videos with models. Does that mean you shoot the videos?

Adult entertainment industry fulfils one of the most basic primal needs of humankind. It is a Need.

Yes I do!
And indeed, as a consumer commercially and personally (I had mistresses online way too young haha) of the adult niche I knew since about 20 I wanted to one day produce in this scene. Not only because of money; but because of the beauty of fetishism, it's like an art that evolves everyday, and you get to see people's true nature and desires come out, I wanted to capitalize on that so.. here I am. Also used to write Erotica.

It is not the business idea. It's the execution and the value that you deliver. Everyone can start a blog, create an account on Upwork, or build a store on Shopify. How can you add more value than the average blogger and freelancer? What can you do better?

For me? Gear and caliber of models. In this industry it's the main hurdles. But again, that means more $$$...

Have you done your due diligence on the porn industry?

I say that cause it's one of the most competitive niches in the world, it's insane. If you check the risk on leveraging to scale it's just ridiculous high

Well the "porn industry" isn't a niche, that's the macro. And that is surely true, but it depends on the niche. Vanilla F*cking, feet, "taboo" content, and BDSM are surely competitive. But even in something like BDSM it depends on what sub category of BDSM you do. Rope bunny stuff, escapee, tickle, damsel in distress stuff, femdom? And then the beauty of adult entertainment is your body/genetics in itself is a "sub niche". So if you do only Latina/Latino models you are in a different market with different consumers versus Black men/women. I love it, but it makes things complex for sure.
But yes, scale in this means pushing more content. It's easier to do because it's so model dependent but hard because it's so financial bound. And on the top levels, prestige.

I actually started reading The One Thing, but I'm reading about 6 different books right now... ha. I'm horrible. ADHD problems. But yeah it seemed good so far! But I know I need to focus on one thing... ugh. But my problem currently is I want to replace my 9-5 soon, so it's harder to focus on one thing when I know it'll take maybe a year or more to get off the ground, then I start to wonder what else can I do that'll hasten the process. Then I try something else and the loop repeats. Maybe my issue simply is patience. I don't want to accept the fact I may have to work a normal job for 2-4 more years while trying to juggle all this. But then I see posts here and stuff on youtube on how people got stuff jumped off in mere months, and I feel like I've failed myself if I can't achieve a similar result.

Anyways thanks guys. This helped.. but I don't feel closer to a decision. MJ says if you 'try' something you're bound to fail. So I can't just 'try' each thing and see if it takes off, but honestly, doing that is better than pondering options.
Practically, just working more hours and using that to fuel my clips is basically guaranteed to move me forward. But simply increasing hours worked is a slow-lane ideal.

Just tired of thinking about this and being stuck. Ready to start going down the road now.
Well I have, but I keep running out of gas and stopping, or worse; go down another highway.

I’ve been meaning to read that book. It’s on my book bucket list. Thanks for the reminder.
