Anyone know if you have to actually register (somewhow) slogan marks in order to protect them? I have a web site set to launch next month, and I have narrowed down two pretty good slogans to coincide with the theme of the site. Someone told me all I need to do is add "SM" after the phrase to protect it (much like automatic copyrights), but I have serious doubts about it.
