Hey all, been lurking/posting for the last few months but never introduced myself.
29yo living on my own in Ontario, Canada. Approaching the death defying age of 30 next month. I drive a 2016 Mazda Hatchback that I think is spiffy, I love cruising around outside of town in the countryside. I've been working in IT for the last 5 or so years after completing a 2yr diploma at a local college, currently taking classes on Information Security Management on the side that will be finished next May/Sept, OSAP pays for it with grants so I'm not too concerned about dropping these, but I wish I had the extra time to focus on business. My last jobs were miserable, but this job I actually enjoy, however I still recognize it's leading me to the slowlane slaughter house.
Reading Rich Dad Poor Dad earlier this year had me questioning everything, finding MJ's youtube videos opened me up to Slowlane/Fastlane. I've been enjoying the Great Rat Race Escape on Audible. I've picked up a copy of Unscripted and am going through that now, about 40 pages in. I also enjoyed Alex Becker's content/Pillars of Wealth book.
Really have enjoyed learning from this forum, I wish I had exposure to people like this back when I was growing up.
I recall after college a colleague wanted to start a business with me, but I had no idea what that entailed, denied the opportunity and went on my merry way back to a comfy job.
I believe my 30s will be my best years yet, so many options and opportunities have opened up since I begun educating myself. Looking forward to learning and posting more on here and achieving success.
