This topic is barely (if at all) Fastlane, hence the "off topic" thread. That said, I do think once self-driving cars reach some standard, we'll spend a lot more time in our cars working (or relaxing) which might be itself "fastlane" (too much a stretch?).
Regardless, as someone technologically interested I've been following the self-driving car industry for, well, as long as it's been around. Tesla is the name of the game, but those familiar with the space know about Comma.AI (founded by George Hotz, a notorious prick, and hacker (he was the first person to jailbreak the original iPhone when he was 17)). I saw my first car this past weekend with Comma.ai, and while it was impressive, it was less-so than my experiences in a Tesla.
Does anyone here have experience with Comma.ai, Telsa or any self-driving tech? I'm currently running a 2009 Rav 4 (because I don't give 2 shits about image), but letting go of the steering wheel seems a mighty fine objective to me.
