I currently live in probably one of the fastest growing cities in America. I've lived in the area for 17 years and seen with my own eyes the population explosion. Homes, apartments and townhomes popping up everywhere.
A few years ago, I was relocated for work up in the Pacific Northwest. My young son played soccer at an indoor soccer facility which was awesome due to the cold and wet weather. This facility catered to all ages and the place was always busy.
After moving back to my current city, the development was crazy to see. Recently, I was spared from being laid off from my company but it's a feeling I never want to feel again.
This bring us to my idea and building an indoor soccer facility based on my initial gut feeling and the following factors. Weather: way too hot to have young kids playing out in the sun, Commute: as a parent with what seems no spare time, easy access to a climate controlled facility is a luxury I'd pay for, Sport popularity: soccer is only going to get more popular with superstars moving to the MLS. Every kid wants to be the next Messi, Population growth: new customers are being born everyday or moving into the area, Competition: there is currently not a single potential competitor in the vicinity for 30+ miles.
Sorry for being long winded but I'd love your initial thoughts and questions I will do my best to answer. Looking forward to the replies!!!
