Hey guys, I finally came around creating an account after spending the past month absorbing as much information/guidance as possible. I have hit the point where I have realized that all my friends and family are fully committed to the slowlane life and rarely display any ambition for escaping it and instead fantasize solely about owning luxury items. They are generally negative individuals and ones that shoot down my ideas, rather than build off of them.
I had a great mentor for the early stages of my life, one that taught me a great deal throughout middle/high school, and unfortunately he passed away 2 years ago. I am built with 1000s of ideas and am constantly trying to learn as much as I can through reading, and best position myself for success. What I truly lack is someone I can speak to, pitch ideas, and talk about problems in the world that I believe could be solved. I come here to look for someone that would be interested in communicating about such via email.
To give you some insight about myself:
I graduated from college in January, and was offered a tremendous job in my field (finance) starting the monday following my last exam. The first few weeks or so I loved it. Then I quickly realized that although I love aspects of finance, and investment banking more specifically, I entered the slow lane life that I feared my whole life. The thought of doing it for the next 40 years scared me, even though I was on a career path that had six figure earnings in less than 6 years. I committed for my parents sake, and took as much as I could from the position up until 3 weeks ago, in which I finally felt financially stable enough to quit and be able to pay my loans for the next year. My purpose in quitting was to be able to commit full days to reading books (3-4 hrs), study for CFA (4 hrs), and develop a business (passive income source).
I now am trying to find my true interests and find a field I am somewhat passionate about, that also has a problem needing to be solved. As I cook ideas, I would love to send them to someone and give brief outlays of them, to get in return a response about which ones may hold some value. If you really like them, Id be happy to progress with you if you are interested. I am an honest, trusting guy (clearly if I am down to openly share my ideas) and would expect the same from you. I would also utilize our relationship to share valuable things that one of us may have come across such as articles, life experiences, etc.
