Helping a Friend With His Lawn Care Biz — What Am I Missing?

Hello, I took Andy Black’s advice (from my last post) not to over-complicate things and to just help/serve someone. For context, I’m friends with a small business owner my age who runs a lawn care company in my area and is on track to do approximately $100k in revenue this year. He is not tech-savvy whatsoever. He is currently paying $250 a month to an agency for a poorly designed, AI-generated website and "marketing,” yet his lawncare company does not even appear in Google Search results.

I offered to take care of all the tech stuff for him, and he agreed that he needed it. I’m going to talk to him again tonight because when he asked for a price, I didn’t know what to tell him. I alluded to what I thought was a very high price range ($3k-$15k), so that any decrease from that would feel like a relief. He seemed fine with paying in the range of $1k-$2k.

Basically, I agreed to do at least the following for him:

1. Set up a website.
2. Set up a Google Business Profile so he will appear on Google Maps.
3. Set up a business phone number.

The business profile and business number look like they will be a cakewalk. I’m going to set up his business number with Google Voice; he will pay the monthly subscription for it. After a little research, it seems most people will charge a one-time fee of $600-$2k to set up websites for similarly sized businesses. Specifically, I plan to use Shopify and Loveable to create the website (recommendation from MJ) and learn the code needed to polish any issues on the job.

Please share any thoughts. I read all the replies. What am I missing here? How do you think I should approach this?
